Adams Increases Lead; Foxen and Schemion Missing

Niveau 11 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Ole Schemion was eliminated by Christoph Vogelsang and the seat that formerly belonged to Alex Foxen is now occupied by Joao Vieira. According to Tobias Ziegler, Foxen had been all in for around 13 big blinds with pocket fives in the cutoff and Timothy Adams called with ace-queen to turn the nut straight.

Adams proceeded to win the next bigger pot on his table as well after taking on Adrian Mateos.

On the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} turn, Adams bet 1,050,000 in the big blind and Mateos called on the button. Adams then made it 2,400,000 to go after the {3-Diamonds} river and that forced a fold from Mateos.

"Show one!" the Spaniard grinned, but his wish was denied by Adams, who raked in the pot with a big smile on the face.

James Chen

Kristen Bicknell opened to 170,000 from the cutoff and James Chen three-bet all in for 1,450,000 from the next position. The blinds folded - including a disgusted-looking Benjamin Pollak - before Bicknell called.

James Chen: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Kristen Bicknell: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

"Eights," said Pollak.

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Chen was eliminated.

Vieira Runs Into Mateos

Niveau 11 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

It folded around to small blind Adrian Mateos and he completed his small blind. Joao Vieira sat in the big blind and he checked his option.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Mateos chose to lead out with a bet of 120,000. Vieira called and the {Q-Clubs} turn was dealt. Mateos went for the check this time and Vieira took over the betting lead with a bet of 220,000. Mateos called to see the {K-Clubs} river complete the board.

Mateos checked again and Vieira bet 660,000 this time. The dealer didn't have to count the bet because Mateos almost beat Vieira in the pot. Vieira opened up {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for two pair, but Mateos had rivered the better two pair with {K-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Kabrhel Eliminated; Leow Busts and Re-Enters

Niveau 11 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Manig Loeser won a flip for 920,000 with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} of Richard Yong after spiking a set on the {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, making the {10-} turn and {K-} river meaningless.

Shortly after, Yong pushed first to act for 1,235,000 and Koray Aldemir reshoved from one seat over. Ivan Leow in the big blind was covered by Aldemir and snap-called to create the following showdown:

Richard Yong: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Ivan Leow: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Koray Aldemir: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board came {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Leow missed out on his two live cards and the gutshot straight draw, but re-entered soon after.

In the next hand, Christoph Vogelsang min-raised to 160,000 and Yong three-bet all in for 1,835,000. Vogelsang needed some time and engaged in table chat.

"I am playing aggressive now because I only have two levels to re-enter," Yong said. Vogelsang opted to fold and was shown the {A-Hearts}.

In the meanwhile, Martin Kabrhel was eliminated from one table over.

Adams Pushes Even Further Ahead

Niveau 11 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Sergio Aido opened to 165,000 and Timothy Adams called in the hijack. Mikita Badziakouski was in the cutoff and three-bet to 525,000. Aido folded and Adams called.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Adams checked. Badziakouski bet 400,000 and after a long tank Adams called.

The pace on the turn was even more glacial, as both players checked the {10-Hearts}. The river was the {8-Spades}. Adams checked and Badziakouski tanked before betting 1,800,000.

Adams instantly called, in stark contrast to the rest of the hand. Badziakouski showed {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a missed flush and straight draw but was already mucking it as Adams showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for top pair.

Khangah Takes From Sontheimer

Niveau 12 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Just before the blinds went up, Steffen Sontheimer raised to 175,000 first to act and Ahadpur Khangah three-bet to 400,000 from one seat over. Sontheimer called and check-folded to a bet of 400,000 on the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop.

One table over, Ivan Leow had immediately made profit after his re-entry and then took on Steve O'Dwyer. A fairly big pot emerged to the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{Q-Clubs} board and O'Dwyer moved all in for more than 3,600,000. Leow on the button shook his head, carefully counted his remaining chips and elected to fold.

Becker Lays It Down

Niveau 12 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Johannes Becker raised to 215,000 from the hijack and Joao Vieira upped it to 685,000 with a three-bet. Becker called.

The flop was {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Spades} and Becker checked to Vieira. This time he bet 480,000 and Becker called again.

The turn was the {A-Spades} which made the board even wetter. Becker checked again to Vieira and he bet another time. This time he put in 1,050,000 but that was too much for Becker who sent his cards to the muck.

Straight Flush for Schwippert; Pollak on Life Support

Niveau 12 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

On a {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} flop Stanley Choi check-raised all in over Jan-Eric Schwippert's bet and the German called.

Stanley Choi: {6-}{6-Spades}
Jan-Eric Schwippert: {j-Spades}{7-Spades}

The turn was the {10-Spades} completing Schwippert's flush and the river {9-Spades} improved him to a straight flush and Choi was eliminated.

Meanwhile, Michael Addamo had opened to 200,000 and Benjamin Pollak had three-bet all in for 1,400,000. Richard Yong then moved all in for 1,295,000. The blinds and Addamo both folded.

Benjamin Pollak: {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Richard Yong: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board was {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Pollak was left short before being eliminated.

Soyza Eliminated by Schwippert

Niveau 12 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jan-Eric Schwippert just eliminated Stanley Choi and shortly after he collected another scalp.

Michael Soyza was all in and at risk for about two million. Schwippert had him well covered and was holding {J-}{J-} against the {A-}{10-} of Soyza.

The board ran out {10-}{K-}{K-}{2-}{4-} and Schwippert sent another player home.

Late registration is still open for the next 40 minutes and the following break, so we might see some players who bust out return to the tournament.
