Foxen and Mateos Depart

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Alex Foxen was down to a mere 10 big blöinds when he jammed with king-ten in the cutoff and came up short against the ace-eight of Cary Katz in the big blind.

At the same time, Adrian Mateos first chopped with {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} against the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} of Orpen Kisacikoglu on a board of {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Soon after, Mateos was in the big blind and defended against a raise to 350,000 by Richard Yong. Mateos jammed the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop for 800,000 and Yong called.

Adrian Mateos: {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Richard Yong: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The {k-Hearts} turn changed nothing yet but the {a-Hearts} on the river gave Yong the superior pair.

Burns Eliminated by Tony G

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

Kahle Burns raised first to act for 350,000 and Tony G clicked it back to 675,000 from one seat over, which Burns called. After a {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, Burns check-called a continuation bet worth 750,000 and check-shoved the {4-Spades} turn when facing a second barrel by Tony G.

A near-instant call of Tony G followed and the cards were on their backs.

Kahle Burns: {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Tony G: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts} on the river was a blank and the stacks were counted, Tony G had 4,475,000 at his disposal and Burns was covered by that.

Vogelsang Spikes the River on Kisacikoglu

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Christoph Vogelsang opened to 335,000 and Orpen Kisacikoglu three-bet to 1,500,000 in the small blind. Vogelsang called and the two players saw a flop of {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Kisacikoglu shoved all in for 7,165,000 and Vogelsang asked for a count before making the call.

Christoph Vogelsang: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Kisacikoglu fancied his chances with the best hand and the better flush draw. The {5-Clubs} on the turn was no help to Vogelsang but the {j-Hearts} on the river ended Kisacikoglu's tournament in dramatic fashion.

Katz Shoves on Aldemir

Niveau 11 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Koray Aldemir opened to 340,000 from under the gun and was called by Cary Katz in middle position. Danny Tang and James Chen also came along from the blinds. The flop fell {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} and the action checked around to the {q-Spades} on the turn.

The blinds checked again and Aldemir reached for a bet of 760,000. Katz pushed in a stack of around 6,000,000 which got Tang and Chen to quickly fold. Aldemir was sitting with a little more than 5,000,000 chips in front of him and gave it some thought but decided to fold as well.

Small Pot for Tony G

Niveau 12 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Phil Ivey raised it up to 400,000 in middle position and Tony G called from the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Tony G checked to Ivey who bet 400,000. Tony G called and the {9-Hearts} paired the board on the turn.

Both players quickly tapped the table and the {6-Hearts} completed the board. Two more checks and Tony G turned over {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for two pair and Ivey mucked his cards.

Eibinger and Phua Chop

Niveau 12 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Matthias Eibinger raised to 430,000 and Paul Phua came along out of the big blind. Both checked the {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} flop and the {5-Diamonds} turn. Phua bet the {6-Diamonds} river for 500,000 and Eibinger quickly tossed in a chip for the call.

Phua revealed {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Eibinger chopped with the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.
