Ali Amelipour checked the {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Spades} turn across to Thorsten Weis who bet 6,000 into a pot of 11,000. Amelipour called.

The river was the {6-Diamonds}. Amelipour eyed his opponent's stack before checking. Weis shoved for 16,100 and Amelipour went in the tank before eventually throwing out a single chip to call.

"You win," said Weis, tabling {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for ace-high.

"No," replied Amelipour. "You win. I called with ace-high." He showed {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Weis' kicker played and he doubled to almost 60,000.

Fotios Ntamaris
Fotios Ntamaris

The action started when a player from early position raised to 300,and after a flat from the player in the cutoff, Fotios Ntamaris bumped it to 2,000 from the small blind. The only player who called was the initial raiser and the flop fell {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Ntamaris fired a bet of 1,500 and his opponent called rather quickly. The turn brought a {10-Diamonds} on the table and this time Ntamaris bet 5,500 which his opponent called again.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Fotios shoved all-in for 13,500, sending his opponent deep into the tank. After a few minutes he called. Fotios showed {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a queen-high flush, and his opponent showed {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} and mucked allowing Fotios to take down the pot.
