Welcome to Day 1 of Event #7: €5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha

Tournament Room at King's

The third Pot-Limit Omaha tournament of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe will get underway at 2pm local time in Europe's biggest poker arena at the King's Resort in Rozvadov. It is a brand new event for the WSOPE as Event #7: Pot-Limit Omaha comes with an elevated price tag of €5,000.

Four-card aficionados from near and far are expected to take a shot at the coveted gold bracelet, which has already crowned two winners in the mixed game variant. Dutchman Bjorn Verbakel came out on top of a 623-entry strong field in Event #2: €550 Pot-Limit Omaha to claim his maiden gold bracelet. Likewise, there was a first-time champion in Event #4: €2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha as Samuel Stranak prevailed in a battle of Slovakians.

Both are expected to be among the likely candidates to join the field for this two-day event, which gives all participants 100,000 in chips. Unlimited entries are available for the first 10 levels of 40 minutes each and the registration will close at the end of level 11. Day 1 is scheduled to play a maximum of 11 levels and the action will conclude towards 10pm local time according to the new regulations of the Czech government, at which time the registration for the tournament will also close as well.

There will be a 15-minute break every three levels on Day 1 during which all participants can take advantage of the buffet at the King's Resort. The tournament will play down to a winner on Sunday, November 28, 2021 and the PokerNews team will be there to provide all the action.
