Samantha Algeri Eliminated in 2nd Place (€42,800)
Niveau 31
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Samantha Algeri bet 500,000 from the small blind and was called by Joakim Andersson in the big blind.
The flop came 9♠8♠7♦ and Algeri continued for 500,000. Andersson moved all in to put Algeri at risk for 3,200,000. The Italian made the call.
Samantha Algeri: Q♠Q♣
Joakim Andersson: 7♥6♠
Algeri was ahead with the ladies, but Andersson had a pair and open-ended. The A♠ reduced Andersson's outs on the turn, but the 5♥ river gave the Swede a nine-high straight to win the pot and the tournament to the disbelief of Algeri's loud Italian rail.
