Lin Leaves Benitez Very Short

Niveau 17 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action folded to Ren Lin in the small blind, and he limped in. Francisco Benitez then checked his option in the big blind, and the two went off to a flop of 964, which they both checked.

The J turn then saw Lin bet 100,000 and Benitez call before Lin made a bigger bet of 325,000 on the 2 river. Benitez spent one time bank extension before putting in the calling chips but mucked his hand once he saw Lin table 64 for two pair.

Benitez was left with less than seven big blind after this encounter, making him the shortest stack of the tournament.

Quan Zhou opened to 160,000 from under the gun with KQ. An irate Martin Kabrhel looked down at JJ and just called. Kabrhel appeared to be upset at Orpen Kisacikoglu for how the latter was placing his cards over the RFID scanner. It soon cooled down, and Santhosh Suvarna called from the small blind with 109.

Zhou continued for 155,000 on the A22 flop, and only Kabrhel called. Zhou sized up to 625,000 on the 10 turn and Kabrhel opted to fold.

Emil Bise

Ren Lin raised his button to 180,000 chips. Emil Bise was in the big blind and made the call. The 10JK flop was then checked by Bise before Lin made a bet of 100,000. Bise raised to 250,000 and Lin made the call.

The 2 turn saw both players check before Bise put in a single T-100,000 chip on the 6 river. Lin made a swift call and Bise tabled A7 for ace-high. Lin then showed AJ for a pair of jacks and the winning hand.

"You bluff too much, my friend," Lin concluded, which got a smile out of the otherwise stoic Bise.
