Kidas In Need of a Miracle
Niveau 11
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Yulian Bogdanov checked the 7♥7♦6♦2♥ turn out of the small blind and then called when Athanasios Kidas bet 26,000 on the button.
That brought them to the 4♥ river on which Bogdanov checked again. Kidas bet 75,000 with a fraction of that behind, sending his opponent deep in the tank. Bogdanov counted his remaining stack and eventually called.
Kidas was reluctant to show his cards, having announced jack-high, and then flashed the J♥10♦. Bogdanov won the large pot with 9♣9♠, leaving Kidas on the verge of elimination.
