Bogdanov Bad Beats Gicovanu; Alexandridis Gets Short
Niveau 20
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
In the final hand before the break, Alex Keating in the small blind check-called the A♥3♥2♣K♦ turn and then called when Symeon Alexandridis bet 140,000 from an early position.
The 10♠ river was checked which Keating verified before he announced "I have an ace" and revealed the A♠6♠. Alexandridis sighed and tossed his cards into the muck.
At the same time on a different table, Yulian Bogdanov raised to 50,000 and then called a three-bet shove for around 675,000 by Marius Gicovanu within a few seconds.
Marius Gicovanu: J♦J♥
Yulian Bogdanov: 7♥7♠
The big stack was behind and didn't connect on the K♥Q♣5♣ flop or 2♦ turn. However, the 7♣ fell on the river and Gicovanu bowed out with a bad beat story to tell.
