Calderone Can Not Fade a Jack

Niveau 6 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Eros Calderone had three-bet to 7,500 from the small blind over the open of Marko Kurtes, who had called, from early position, and a flop of 937 had been dealt for the players.

Calderone then bet another 11,500 on the 937 flop, and Kurtes made the call. The J turn hit the felt and Calderone slowed down with a check, after which Kurtes put enough chips in the middle to cover Calderone's stack of 52,500. Calderone instantly called and the cards were tabled.

Heads-up on a board of 78AQ and around 20,000 in the pot, Adrian Mateos bet 15,000 from the button and Anthony Stumbo called in the cutoff.

The river was the 8 and Stumbo moved all in for 78,000. "Are you bluffing again," Mateos asked him as he tanked for a few minutes.

Mateos eventually called and Stumbo turned over 109 for a missed straight draw. Mateos showed AK for two pair to take the pot and send Stumbo to the rail.

"Very nice call. Had to be a bluff. Had to be," tablemate Ramzi Zuraikat told Mateos.

Niveau 6 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Quan Zhou raised to 2,200 from under the gun and faced a three-bet to 7,000 from Nikola Minkov, which he called.

While this hand was happening, Wooram Cho was seen leaving the tournament area as all of his chips had been redistributed to other players.

Miscikowski Gets an Early Christmas Present

Niveau 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
David Miscikowski
David Miscikowski

Christmas may be 44 days away, but David Miscikowski received an early gift to boost his Main Event stack.

Erguen Sertkan opened to 3,800 from middle position and was called by Miscikowski and Halil Coknez from the hijack and button.

Sertkan continued for 6,900 on the 432 flop and was called by both opponents.

Sertkan fired out another 6,000 on the 10 turn. This time, only Miscikowski called.

The 3 river saw Sertkan bet 12,600, leaving him with just over 25,000 behind. Miscikowski was the bigger stack and put his opponent all in. Sertkan snap-called for his tournament life.

Miscikowski had a full house with his 22. Sertkan had ace-high with his AJ and appeared to have tilted away any hopes of the Main Event title..
