D'Anselmo Fades the World to Eliminate Lettau

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andre Lettau was already all in and at risk from the big blind against Nicola D'Anselmo, who was in the hijack, on a flop of 653.

Andre Lettau: J4
Nicola D'Anselmo: 99

D'Anselmo held the best hand with his overpair, but would need to fade a cascade of outs as Lettau held both straight and flush draws in addition to his overcard.

It wasn't meant to be for Lettau, however, as the K turn and 3 river bricked out — eliminating Lettau as Day 1b draws to an end.

Ramos Hits Quads in Four-Bet Pot

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

After some a raise to 3,000 from Nikolay Ponomarev in early position and a call from another player at the table, Felipe Ramos made it 13,200 to go from the big blind.

With the action back on Ponomarev, he put in a four-bet to 22,400 and Ramos was the only caller.

The flop then fell J65 and Ramos checked to Ponomarev, who opted to continue for 12,000. Ramos then raised to 29,800, after which Ponomarev three-bet all in, covering Ramos's 113,500 stack.

Ramos snap called and the cards went on their backs.

Felipe Ramos: JJ
Nikolay Ponomarev: 87

Ponomarev had made some moves with his suited connector, both preflop and postflop, but was still drawing live against the top set of Ramos. The 8 turn gave Ponomarev a useless pair, and the J river saw Ramos hit quad jacks to lock up the pot and double up.

Bauer Picked Off by Bohdanov

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 6410, Alain Bauer bet 12,000 from the small blind and Renat Bohdanov called on the button.

The turn came the 10 and Bauer led out for another 24,000. Bohdanov quickly called and the 8 fell on the river.

Bauer then moved all in and Bohdanov snap-called, turning over 66 for a flopped set that turned into a full house. Bauer placed his last 70,000 on top of Bohdanov's stack before he showed AJ. Tablemate Ramzi Zuraikat got up to shake a still-smiling Bauer's hand before Bauer headed for the exit.

Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Marco Penta shoved for his last 7,800 from late position and was called by Daniel Dvoress in the big blind to be put at risk.

Marco Penta: AK
Daniel Dvoress: Q8

Penta held the lead, but the Q29 flop paired Dvoress' queen and left Penta drawing slim.

The 4 turn and Q river needlessly improved Dvoress to trips and Penta was eliminated.

Rudolph Gets Paid by Boghean

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andrei Boghean bet 3,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 1027 and Christian Rudolph called on the button.

The turn was the 4 and Boghean checked over to Rudolph, who bet 12,000. Boghean called and the 3 fell on the river.

Boghean checked again, and Rudolph this time bet 30,000. Boghean peeked back at his cards twice, then picked up one of his chips and began twirling it between his fingers as he tanked for a minute.

He eventually placed it in the middle to signify a call, and Rudolph turned over QQ. Boghean mucked and surrendered the pot.

Nedelcu Joins the Late-Night Bust-Out Train

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Narcis Nedelcu raised to 2,800 and faced a three-bet to 7,800 from Claas Segebrecht. The action then folded back to Nedelcu, who four-bet jammed his last 45,000 chips in the middle. Segebrecht snap called with the covering stack and their holdings were revealed.

Narcis Nedelcu: 99
Claas Segebrecht: AA

Nedelcu immediately stood up and gathered his belongings, and he was right to do so as the 2Q7103 board gave him no help to stay alive.

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

James Chen opened from under the gun and Roland Israelashvili shoved for his last 15,600 from the small blind. Christophe Panetti called from the big blind and Chen made it 66,000 to go. Panetti let his hand go and hands were revealed.

Roland Israelashvili: KQ
James Chen: AK

Chen had Israelashvili dominated, and the 2K7K3 runout kept Chen best with a higher kicker to end Israelashvili's run late in the day.

Balogh Makes the Correct Call

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andras Balogh and Symeon Alexandridis had almost completed their blind-on-blind battle when they arrived on the river on 8934J. With 18,500 already collected in the pot, Balogh made a bet of 10,000 chips from the small blind.

Alexandridis then put in a raise to 26,500 and Balogh took a few moments before calling it off. Alexandridis tossed his 106 on the table and Balogh's Q9 beat the bluff and won him the pot.

Petkov Pays Salaj Off

Niveau 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Lachezar Petkov opened to 2,500 first-to-act and was called by Miroslav Salaj in the big blind.

Salaj check-called a 2,000 bet from Petkov on the K10J flop and then both players checked on the 3 turn.

The 2 completed the board and Salaj led out for 5,600. Petkov looked him up and Salaj turned over K9 for top pair. Petkov couldn't beat it and mucked — awarding the pot to Salaj.
