No Luck Gavrila
Niveau 36
: Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Viorel Gavrila kicked off the action from the cutoff, raising to 2,000,000 with A♥3♥. In the small blind, Antonio Menga, holding K♣Q♦, decided to go all in for his remaining 1,450,000.
When the flop revealed A♦9♦Q♥, both players secured a pair, but Gavrila maintained the lead with his ace.
However, the turn brought a game-changing Q♣, giving Menga trips with queens and significantly increasing his chances to win this pot.
The river card, 4♣, didn’t alter the situation, and despite his strong hand, Gavrila found himself losing a portion of his stack, enabling Menga to successfully double up.
