Sabishchenko Doubles Up with Trips Against Speranzoni
Niveau 37
: Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
In a blinds-versus-blinds showdown, Alberto Speranzoni shoved all in from the small blind with A♦10♣, putting Rostyslav Sabishchenko to the test. Sabishchenko, holding A♥2♦, made the call, hoping to double his 3,075,000 stack.
The flop came down Q♣2♥2♠, giving Sabishchenko trip deuces, and you could almost hear his sigh of relief.
Speranzoni was left needing a miracle on the turn to stay alive, but the 8♥ sealed his fate, leaving him drawing dead. Sabishchenko secured the double-up.
