Marino's Pair of Nines Take the Pot
Niveau 17
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
With about 42,000 already in the pot and the board displaying 4♣6♣9♣J♥, Valerio Marino checked to Andrej Desset, who responded with a bet of 12,500. Marino made the call.
When the turn brought the 2♠, Marino checked once more. Desset, not thrilled with the situation, decided to check behind. Marino then revealed 9♥8♠ for a pair of nines, which was enough to take down the pot as Desset tossed his cards into the muck.
