Jan Bogas opened from early position to 1,600. Massimo De Mario called from middle position before Daniel Matissek raised to 5,000 from the big blind.
Matissek and Bogas checked the 6♣J♣4♠ flop to De Mario who bet 5,000. Mattisek folded and Bogas called. Bogas fired the J♥ turn for 8,000. De Mario called again. Bogas then moved all in and De Mario snap-called but was covered slightly.
He showed A♥J♠ for a full house which bested the 7♠6♠ of Bogas.
Dohang Na opened the action from early position with a raise to 800, and both Michael Kaufhold in the hijack and Giorgi Mdivani in the big blind called.
On a K♣K♠9♦ flop, after Mdivani checked, Na continued with a small bet of 300, and both Kaufhold and Mdivani decided to call.
The K♥ turn brought almost a repeat of the previous action—Mdivani checked again, Na bet 300, and Kaufhold called. However, this time, Mdivani raised to 1,200, and both players opted to call.
The real action unfolded on the 9♣ river. Mdivani led out with a hefty 10,000 bet. Na hesitated, even asking about Mdivani’s remaining stack, but ultimately decided to just call. Kaufhold couldn't handle the heat and mucked his cards, sending the hand to showdown. Mdivani revealed K♦10♠ for quads, while Na showed A♦A♣ for the second-best hand, a full house, but it wasn’t enough. Mdivani scooped the pot with his quads.

Looking back at last year's event, Bernd Gleissner came out on top after ten and a half hours of fierce competition in the 2023 WSOP Europe. He bested a field of 182 entrants in Event #14: €1,000 NLH Turbo Freezeout, with his final victory against Candido Cappiello in heads-up play. This earned Gleissner his first WSOP gold bracelet and the top prize of €46,700.
A total of 28 players made it into the money, including notable players like Rainer Kempe, James Chen, Oleksii Natoptanyi, Kalle Persson, and Simon Wilson.
This year’s freezeout event will see players start with 30,000 chips, and with the turbo structure featuring 20-minute levels, the action will be relentless. Players will get a brief break every six levels to catch their breath and regroup. Blinds will begin at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante, so players will need to stay sharp from the get-go.
