Alexander Sokolovsky opened from the hijack to 1,100. Marius Gicovanu called on the button and Salvatore Amitrano defended the big blind.
The 7♦8♦5♠ flop was checked to Gicovanu who bet 3,000. Amitrano called and Sokolovsky folded. The 5♥ turn saw a snap check-raise all in from Amitrano who was covered by Gicovanu.
Salvatore Amitrano: K♣5♣
Marius-Alexandru Gicovanu: 8♠8♥
Amitrano needed a five or a king but couldn't find either on the 10♦ river and he was eliminated.
