Nieuwenhuis Doubles Up with River Flush
Niveau 17
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
With around 57,000 in the pot, the flop revealed J♥7♣8♥ when Marco Jansen made a bet after Pel Nieuwenhuis checked. However, Nieuwenhuis decided to go all in for about 123,000, prompting a quick call from Jansen.
When the cards were revealed, Jansen showed 8♦7♦ for two pair, while Nieuwenhuis held 6♥5♥ with an open-ended straight and a flush draw.
The turn brought the 6♠, which didn’t change much, but the K♥ on the river completed Nieuwenhuis's flush, allowing him to double up and take down the pot.
