Duta’s Full House Sends Sklenicka Packing

Niveau 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Florian Duta initiated the action with a raise to 40,000 from middle position, prompting a call from Vivian Saliba. However, the real drama unfolded when Michael Sklenicka pushed all-in for 340,000. Duta didn’t hesitate and quickly called, while Saliba swiftly folded her hand, leaving the two players to face off in a showdown.

Sklenicka revealed JJ, hoping for a jack to improve his situation, while Duta showed KK. As the dealer fanned the flop, the cards revealed 6K6, giving Duta a powerful full house. Sklenicka’s hopes dwindled, and despite calling for a jack, the Q on the turn and the 10 on the river did nothing to help his cause. With no winning hand in sight, Sklenicka was eliminated from the tournament.

Lakerveld’s Nines Fold Under Cazacu’s Jack Attack!

Niveau 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

PokerNews entered the scene just as the cards were being revealed. Daniël Lakerveld was all in and on risk, revealing his hand of 99, while Adrian Cazacu confidently showed AJ.

The flop was already a nail-biter for Lakerveld, coming down 2JJ and giving Cazacu trips with his three jacks. To make matters worse for Lakerveld, the J hit on the turn, sealing the fate of his pocket nines and effectively rendering his hand dead. With no chance of recovery, Lakerveld was left with no choice but to pack his bags and exit the tournament.

Four players saw the turn on a board of 8948 with around 350,000 in the pot when Christos Xanthopoulos bet 250,000 from the cutoff. Ioannis Kyriakopoulos and Asher Dahan folded in the blinds, but Presiyan Tsvetanov moved all in from under the gun.

Xanthopoulos took a minute before calling for his last 550,000, turning over A4 for two pair. Tsvetanov, though, had AQ for the nut flush and Xanthopoulos failed to fill up on the 5 river as he was sent to the rail.

Eychenne’s Straight Leaves Lormel Jacks’d Up and Out!

Niveau 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Thomas Eychenne
Thomas Eychenne

Thomas Eychenne started the action with a raise to 40,000 from the hijack, but Yann Lormel quickly pushed all in from the cutoff for 220,000. After some contemplation, Eychenne made the call, and they went to a showdown.

Lormel revealed AJ, while Eychenne showed 98. With Lormel currently in the lead, Eychenne needed some help from the board. The flop of 7910 was a good start for him, giving him a pair of nines along with a flush draw.

Now it was Lormel’s turn to seek assistance from the board, but the 10 on the turn didn’t change anything for him.

However, the river brought the J, giving Lormel a better pair. But Eychenne had struck gold, hitting a straight, and he sent Lormel to the rail.
