Vlaic Backdoors a Flush to Crack Pipine's Flopped Set, Persent Eliminated
Niveau 20
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jon Persent was already all-in preflop and Edgaras Pipine & Iuliu Vlaic were involved with the pot having around 200,000 chips already in it.
On the A♦7♣10♥ flop, Edgaras Pipine bet 71,000 into the dry side pot and Iuliu Vlaic shoved for 180,000. Pipine snap-called. .
Jon Persent: Q♠Q♦
Iuliu Vlaic: A♣K♣
Edgaras Pipine: 10♦10♠
Pipine was a huge favorite to eliminate two players and send his stack flying up the leaderboard, but a 4♣ on the turn made things interesting as Vlaic picked up a flush draw.
"Club," said Vlaic.
"Queen," said Persent.
Well, both of their wishes came true as the Q♣ dropped on the river, which gave Vlaic the nut flush and a lock on the hand. Persent was eliminated, and Pipine was left with around 150,000 in his stack.
