Shumeiko Puts a Dent in Armbrust's Stack
Niveau 22
: Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
There were around 70,000 chips in the middle on a flop of 3♥J♣10♦ when Yehor Shumeiko checked and John Armbrust bet 40,000. Shumeiko then shoved for 179,000, and Armbrust snap-called.
Yehor Shumeiko: J♥7♣
John Armbrust: A♣K♦
Shumeiko flopped a pair but needed to fade the overcards and straight draw of his opponent. The runout stayed low coming 4♠5♣, which kept Shumeiko's pair of jacks in the lead and doubled him up.
