Tournament Now in the Money

Niveau 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With Jake Schindler's recent elimination in 117th place, the tournament is officially in the money. Each of the remaining players is guaranteed at least $22,029. The next pay jump will take place at #107 ($23,091). Of course, everyone left in the field is in search of the $1,655,955 first place prize.

Andrew Moreno, the defending champion, is still standing.

Schindler Bubbles on a Bad Beat

Niveau 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Shannon Shorr opened from under the gun to 12,000. Jake Schindler, directly to his left, three-bet to 60,000, leaving just 62,000 behind.

Action folded to David Lambard in the small blind, who four-bet to 123,000, enough to cover Schindler. Shorr folded, and Schindler snap-called with the bubble looming. The tournament was in hand-for-hand play and two other eliminations took place before the tournament director came over to the table to permit the dealer to run the hand.

Jake Schindler: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
David Lambard: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Schindler was a heavy favorite but the flop of {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} gave Lambard a set. Schindler did get any help from the {4-Hearts} on the turn or the {k-Hearts} on the river and was eliminated right on the money bubble.

Moran Flushes Imsirovic as Penultimate Bubble Boy

Niveau 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Ali Imsirovic
Ali Imsirovic

In the same hand-for-hand rotation, Ali Imsirovic raised from middle position and Daniel Moran defended the big blind to see a {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop.

Moran led out for 14,000 and Imsirovic jammed for approximately 225,000. Moran called and the hands were turned up after action was completed at all other tables.

Ali Imsirovic: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Daniel Moran: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Imsirovic, not far removed from winning a Wynn Millions High Roller, was ahead with aces but Moran had a pair with a flush draw.

The dealer burned and turned the {j-Clubs}, which completed the flush draw and left Imsirovic drawing dead. The meaningless {5-Hearts} was run out on the river and Imsirovic exited empty-handed in 118th place.

Worthington-Leese Eliminated by Grax

Niveau 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With players hand-for-hand, three tables had a player all-in and at risk. The first table to run their hand saw Leo Worthington-Leese with his stack of approximately 50,000 at risk against Sebastien Grax.

Leo Worthington-Leese: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Sebastien Grax: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Spades} and Grax improved to two pair on the river to knock out his opponent.

Matakis' Trips Outkick Schulman

Niveau 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Ian Matakis
Ian Matakis

On a {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, Nick Schulman was in early position and check-called a 26,000 bet by Ian Matakis in middle position.

The {a-Clubs} landed on the turn and Schulman check-called for 69,000. The {a-Spades} completed the board and Schulman checked. Matakis thought for a bit before checking as well.

Schulman revealed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} but it was no good against the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Matakis.

Secilmis Takes on Big Stack Near Bubble

Niveau 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With the bubble looming, Ugur Secilmis fired a 35,000 bet at the big stacked Katie Lindsay on the river. The board read {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and there was already about 50,000 in the pot. Lindsay pondered her decision for a minute before electing to fold, and Secilmis took down a much needed pot.

Moreno Chips Up With Set

Andrew Moreno
Andrew Moreno

With roughly 150,000 in the pot on a {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} completed board, Andrew Moreno bet 100,000 in the cutoff and Thomas Boivin called the small blind.

Moreno tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and took the pot with his set of queens as Boivin mucked.
