WSOP

Les World Series of Poker 2023 ne sont plus qu'un souvenir, car le festival le plus important du poker s'est achevé au Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas le 19 juillet 2023.

Grâce à un programme chargé, 95 tournois avec bracelet se sont déroulés au domicile des WSOP, et plusieurs d'entre eux ont battu tous les records de fréquentation et de prize pool.

Sur les 95 tournois avec bracelet en live, 215 655 entrées ont été enregistrées de la part de joueurs du monde entier.

L'événement le plus fréquenté est aussi celui dont le buy-in est le plus bas. Le $300 Gladiators of Poker a enregistré 23 088 entrées, ce qui en fait l'un des plus grands tournois de poker de tous les temps.

Outre le Gladiators, quatre autres tournois ont enregistré plus de 10 000 entrées.

Plus de 440 millions de dollars collectés

Présentation de l'argent

Les entrées mentionnées ci-dessus ont permis de récolter la somme impressionnante de 440 562 594 $ pour l'ensemble des WSOP 2023. Pour mettre cela en perspective, c'est plus que le PIB de pays tels que Nauru (133,2 millions de dollars), Palau (217,8 millions de dollars), les îles Marshall (259,5 millions de dollars) et les îles fédérées de Micronésie (404 millions de dollars).

Sur l'argent collecté, 401 837 583 $ étaient disponibles en prix, tandis que les 38 925 011 $ restants étaient consacrés au rake. Les WSOP divisent ensuite le rake en deux catégories. La première est celle des droits d'entrée, dont le total final s'élève à 27 247 508 $. Il reste donc 11 677 503 $, qui sont ensuite répartis entre les croupiers et le personnel.

Tout au long de l'été, 66 286 689 dollars ont été attribués aux vainqueurs des bracelets. Quinze événements ont permis d'attribuer au moins un million de dollars aux champions, et deux autres prix d'un million de dollars ont été attribués grâce aux prix bounty des Mystery Millions.

Un Main Event record

L'une des plus grandes histoires de l'été a été que le Main Event WSOP a finalement éclipsé le record d'entrées de 2006.

Quelque 10 043 candidats ont payé le buy-in de 10 000 $ pour organiser le plus grand Main Event de tous les temps. Bien entendu, cela a généré la plus grosse cagnotte de l'histoire du poker, avec 93 399 900 $ partagés entre les 1 508 joueurs qui ont terminé dans l'argent.

Daniel Weinman a été le dernier joueur en lice et a vu 12,1 millions de dollars lui revenir après avoir gravé son nom dans les livres d'histoire du poker. Son gain a dépassé le prix attribué à Jamie Gold lors du premier boom du poker.

Miller, Eveslage, Brewer et Arieh remportent plusieurs bracelets

Gagner un bracelet aux WSOP, c'est bien, mais en gagner deux ? C'est tout simplement trop beau.

Les WSOP 2023 ont vu quatre joueurs remporter plusieurs bracelets avec Ryan Miller, Chris Brewer (en photo), Chad Eveslage, et Josh Arieh dans ce quatuor.

Eveslage a démarré les WSOP 2023 dans une forme incroyable et a remporté deux bracelets consécutifs dans les événements Dealer's Choice. Il a remporté l'édition à 1 500 $ avant de régner en maître sur le Dealer's Choice Championship pour un score combiné de 443 307 $.

Spécialiste du bad beat, Brewer a connu ces dernières années quelques bust-outs très durs, mais il a pu voir le côté plus agréable de la chance au cours des deux derniers mois. Brewer a remporté le plus gros buy-in de la série et a empoché 5 293 556 $ pour sa victoire sur le 250K Super High Roller. Il a ensuite montré qu'il était plus qu'un simple maestro du hold'em en remportant sa deuxième victoire dans le $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw Lowball Championship.

Arieh a porté un total de bracelets à six après avoir remporté le Limit Hold'em Championship et le 25,000 $ H.O.R.S.E. High Roller. Miller a ensuite récolté deux trophées WSOP en cinq tournois.

Sans Surprise, les Joueurs Américains Sont Premiers

Comme prévu, ce sont les joueurs de poker des États-Unis qui ont remporté le plus grand nombre de bracelets WSOP au cours de l'été, avec 58 Américains différents qui ont tous terminé en première position. Phil Hellmuth est l'un de ceux qui ont terminé un tournoi en première position, et il a étendu son record de bracelets à 17 après avoir remporté l'Event #72 : $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty pour 803,818 $.

Les joueurs canadiens et chinois ont remporté six bracelets chacun. Les Brésiliens sont également venus en force et ont prouvé une fois de plus qu'ils étaient une force du poker avec laquelle il fallait compter, puisque trois autres bracelets ont été ramenés dans l'État sud-américain.

La Bulgarie et la France comptent deux champions, tandis que la Suisse, le Japon, la Moldavie, la Pologne, l'Autriche, l'Espagne, le Royaume-Uni, l'Ukraine, le Viêt Nam, le Pérou, l'Australie, l'Argentine, les Pays-Bas, l'Allemagne et le Portugal comptent chacun un vainqueur.
