Clinton Taylor raised and instantly called the shove of Michael Egan from one seat over with both players holding near identical stacks.

Andrew Hinrichsen raised to 70,000 and Bryn Kenney three-bet the button to 210,000. Matthew Wakeman four-bet to 435,000 to force out Hinrichsen and Kenney then jammed to claim the pot without resistance from Wakeman.
Over on the other outer table, David Wang opened to 70,000 and Robert Glasspool three-bet to 280,000 in the big blind, Wang called. On the flop, Glasspool shoved for 545,000 and Wang folded.
Anthony Kingston moved all in for 205,000 from the button and was looked up by Mike Del Vecchio.

The flop gave both players a pair coming and the turn improved Kingston to two pair as he looked to stay alive in the Main Event.
The river, however, was the , counterfeiting the at-risk player and sending more chips Del Vecchio's way as Kingston was eliminated in 14th place for AU$82,000
It folded to Simon Chahine on the button who moved all in for 360,000. Hamish Crawshaw, who had just won a big pot off the Australian, was in the big blind and called putting Chahine at the risk.

The clear home favourite was roared on as the flop came giving Chahine two pair. However, there were gasps as the rolled off the turn giving Crawshaw back the lead.

Over on the other table, Gyeong Byeong Lee defended the big blind against Bjorn Ostby. On the turn, Lee bet 100,000 and Ostby called. The came on the river and Lee bet 500,000, Ostby folded instantly.
Simon Chahine opened to 65000 and got calls from Hamish Crawshaw and Mike Del Vecchio.
Del Vecchio checked a flop to Chahine who continued for 90,000. Crawshaw called and Del Vecchio folded.

The river was the . Chahine checked again and Crawshaw moved all in for 390,000. Chahine had just under 450,000 remaining and cut a frustrated figure at the table, snapping his chips together before eventually folding.
First to act, Bjorn Ostby made it 65,000 to go and Andrew Theakstone in the big blind three-bet to 200,000 with a stack of around 675,000. Ostby moved all in and Theakstone called it off.

The flop gave Theakstone an additional flushdraw, but he needed the diamond when the followed on the turn. It wasn't meant to be for Theakstone, as he bricked off with the river and headed to the rail in 16th place for AU$82,000.
Andrew Theakstone was moved over to the other outer table and proceeded to raise-fold twice, then move all in to claim the blinds and antes. Greg Heaver profited from that the most as he added some more chips to his growing tower.
Over on the other table, Matthew Wakeman took on Andrew Hinrichsen. The latter check-raised the turn from 150,000 to 475,000 and Wakeman reluctantly folded.
