Aussie Millions Main Event Two Eliminations Off Redraw at Start of Day 4

Aussie Millions Main Event
Aussie Millions Main Event

The 2019 Aussie Millions Main Event resumes today at 12:30 p.m. with all 38 remaining players guaranteed AU$31,200. Today the tournament will play down to a final table of seven which is due to be reached in the early hours of Saturday morning local time.

Although the players have been redrawn ahead of Day 4, the tournament stands just two eliminations from a full redraw to a six-handed format which it will remain until a winner is crowned on Sunday.

That being said, the system has thrown up some interesting table draws including first and second in chips Mike Del Vecchio (2,403,000) and Dingxiang Ong (1,402,000) seated together at Table 31. Meanwhile, Matthew Wakeman (1,292,000), David Wang (1,247,000) and Andrew Hinrichsen (1,230,000) occupy the next three spots in the chip counts.

Other notable players still in the hunt for the AU$1,850,000 first prize money and the title of Aussie Millions Main Event champion are Bryn Kenney (782,000) who will have to forego entering the AU$100,000 Challenge which starts today if he continues his deep Main Event run.

Also still in are Day 2 chip leader Pim De Goede (780,000), Michael Addamo (623,000), Quan Zhou (528,000), Farid Jattin (493,000), Vojtech Ruzicka (443,000), Jack Salter (239,000), Cole Swannack (204,000) and Dominik Panka (185,000).

Stay tuned to PokerNews for continued live updates from the Aussie Millions Main Event as we play down to a final table today.

Cards are in the air on Day 4 of the 2019 Aussie Millions Main Event. A reminder that after two eliminations, the entire tournament will redraw to six-handed tables.

Heaver Takes From Flynn

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Gavin Flynn limped in and Greg Heaver raised to 47,000, which Flynn called. On the {K-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, Flynn check-called a bet of 40,000 and the {7-Clubs} turn and {A-Spades} river brought no betting action. Heaver as the last aggressor tabled the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and that won the pot.

Andrew Michael Eliminated in 38th Place (AU$31,200)

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Andrew Michael ended up all in and at risk with the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} out of the big blind. Bryn Kenney in the cutoff held the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and flopped a flush draw on {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}. The {7-Diamonds} turn was a blank, but the {K-Spades} river improved Kenney to kings and deuces.

David Wang raised from middle position and was called by Cole Swannack in the big blind.

Both players checked the {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop before the {k-Spades} dropped on the turn.

Swannack bet out 32,000. Wang called shortly after.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Swannack moved all in for 141,000.

Wang went into the tank for a minute before making the call.

Swannack then tabled his {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a pair before Wang flipped over his {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for two pair.

"Nice hand," announced Swannack, before making his way to the payout table.

John Duggan raised to 50,000 from under the gun leaving himself 88,000 behind. Antonio Tavella was in the next position and moved all in for 127,000.

Gavin Flynn was in the next position and asked for a count before calling, as did Andrew Theakstone on the button. The blinds folded and Duggan flat-called leaving himself 11,000 behind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}. It checked to Theakstone who bet 125,000. Duggan moved all in and Flynn mucked.

Tavella: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Duggan: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Theakstone: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The turn {10-Clubs} kept Tavella alive with Duggan now drawing dead. The river {6-Hearts} however completed a straight for Theakstone who sent two players to the rail.
