Niveau 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

John Juanda made it 16,000 and Nick Petrangelo three-bet to 44,000. Mike McDonald then shoved in for 300,000-plus, and after Juanda released, Petrangelo turned over the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

"Alright Mike," he said, confirming he was making the call.

McDonald held the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, and tens held through the {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board to send Petrangelo packing.

Chidwick Shoves All In

Niveau 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From first position Stephen Chidwick made it 18,000 to go, and big blind Ivan Luca was the only caller. Luca check called 20,000 on the {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, and check called another 50,000 on the {J-Diamonds} turn.

The river came the {10-Hearts} and Luca lead out for 57,000.

Chidwick didn't need much time making up his mind, and moved all in for 384,000 total. Luca had 468,000 behind at this point, and contemplated what to do for some minutes. Eventually he folded and Chidwick raked in the sizable pot without having to go to showdown.

Petrangelo: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Neither the {4-Hearts} turn nor the {2-Spades} river helped the Austrian and he was sent out of the tournament.

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened with a bet of 14,000 from early position, and both Ivan Luca and Stephen Chidwick called in the blinds.

Luca and Chidwick checked the {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, and Negreanu continued for 25,000. Only Chidwick called, and he quickly checked the {8-Diamonds} turn.

Negreanu fired out a bet of 48,000 and Chidwick tanked a while before pushing in.

"Alright, if you got it, you got it," Negreanu said, calling off for his tournament life with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

Chidwick indeed had it, having turned top set with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The river bricked for Negreanu and as he hit the rail, Chidwick climbed up the counts.

Nitsche Runs Out of Chips

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche open-shoved the small blind for what looked like 130,000 chips and Sergey Lebedev quickly called to let the German sigh and say "enjoy", immediately knowing he was well behind even before the cards were tabled.

Nitsche: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Lebedev: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

After a board of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, the kicker issue resulted in the exit of the German and Lebedev increased his stack after just having entered before the start of Day 2.
