Decamps Shoves and Survives

Niveau 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Derek Decamps' tournament life was in jeopardy after his chip stack dwindled down to 9,000 chips. He was in push or fold mode for more than an orbit with a couple of his shoves getting through.

He got a much-needed double up after a player in early position raised, and Decamps jammed. Decamps with king-queen suited was able to hold against his opponents' queen-jack suited to see his stack grow back to 25,000.

Giada Fang's Short Stack Grows Without a Call

Niveau 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

More players are shoving their stacks in the middle since the dinner break, especially the players with short stacks. Team PokerStars Pro Online member Giada Fang recently shoved her remaining chips of 8,300 and got folds around the board to increase her chip stack by almost 20 percent.

Testy Table

Niveau 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Gaby Livshitz
Gaby Livshitz

Paul Hoefer was in the small blind and bet 2,300 into a pot of about 8,000 against a couple of opponent. The board read {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} and only Gaby Livshitz, in early position, called. On the {7-Diamonds} river, Hoefer checked. Livshitz thought for a couple of minutes in silence and the players across the table began to voice their annoyance.

"This is the slowest table I've ever played at," one player said.

"Every fucking hand," his neighbor chimed in.

One of them called for time, and before the countdown could start, Livshitz bet 5,600. Hoefer paid it off, and the German bracelet winner could not beat {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

A discussion about the pace of play continued after the hand, with Livshitz's neighbor voicing support by saying Livshitz hadn't taken much time on most of his decisions.
