Paul Hoefer opened to 5,400 from the cutoff and Nandor Solyom three-bet to 13,700 in the small blind, Hoefer called. On the flop, both players checked. Solyom also checked the turn and Hoefer bet 18,500. Solyom asked him for the stack size, then called and checked the river.
Hoefer checked behind and was relieved to do so, when Solyom flashed for a set of kings. Solyom already came to the table with a big stack and added some more.

After the break, half of one table began wearing surgical masks including Matas Cimbolas with nobody at the table wearing a mask before the break.
Cimbolas was the only player of the four that were wearing masks to remove his as he expressed his interest to breath better. During this time two unmasked players were involved in a preflop pot. Yosuke Sekiya three-bet shoved for over 62,000 chips against Valdo Banicevic who opened for 5,500. Banicevic, who earlier had a six-digit stack, folded to Sekiya to bring his chip count down to 40,000. Sekiya moved up to 75,000 without seeing a flop or needing to put on a mask.
After the hand, Cimbolas shared he might put his mask back on when involved in a pot.
Meanwhile, it appears more likely than not that the bubble will break on Day 2 as the tournament is about 50 players from the money.

After a raise to 5,000, Martin Finger moved all in from the hijack and Oren Rosen called all in from the small blind for his last 17,000. The initial raiser folded and Finger tabled , Rosen had the . "Good luck," Finger wished and saw the board run out .

Martin Finger:
Benjamin Philipps:
"Good luck. If I win, I owe you a beer obviously," Finger said. The board ran out and Finger doubled. "But not in that bar again," Philipps joked back. Finger remains rather short and will be under pressure soon again.

"I kept winning small pots, for 20-30,000," Ludovic Lacay said to a French blogger only moments ago when the previous hand didn't involve him. Lacay then sat down and raised to 5,000 from the cutoff after. Tobias Laubert on the button and the big blind called and the flop showed .
The player in the big blind checked and subsequently folded after Lacay had bet 9,000 and Laubert called. On the turn, Lacay made it 21,500 to go and received the call before firing a third barrel worth 57,000 on the river. Laubert folded and the pot was shipped to Lacay.
The Frenchman has not played a live event since the Main Event of the 2014 World Series of Poker, but seems poised to make a deep run here at the last ever EPT Main Event.
