Jukka Paloniemi Eliminated in 17th Place (€34,630)

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Jukka Paloniemi
Jukka Paloniemi

After a few smaller pots, Jukka Paloniemi open-shoved for his last 955,000 from the cutoff and the action folded to Sam Cohen in the small blind. She reshoved to force a fold from Kiryl Radzivonau in the big blind.

Jukka Paloniemi: {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Sam Cohen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The flop came {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Cohen hit top pair, leaving Paloniemi drawing very thing. On the {J-Spades} turn, the Finn picked up some outs and Cohen asked for the eight of clubs. It was the {6-Hearts} on the river instead and Paloniemi was eliminated in 17th place. The remaining 16 players will now redraw to the last two tables.

Felipe Ramos Qualified Himself on the Flop

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

Marius Gierse min-raised from the cutoff to 100,000. The action folded to Felipe Ramos, who had 10 big blinds in his chip stack.

"I am pretty sure you will be calling 100 percent, otherwise you wouldn't be opening. You are a very good player." Ramos said to his opponent while he stated why he wasn't shoving. He paused before adding, "I will try to make this different. I will try to qualify myself on the flop."

Gierse then told Ramos, "Good luck with that."

As the {3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop was dealt, Ramos stated, "All, black. No!" and quickly checked his hand. Gierse bet 75,000 before Ramos shared, "As I qualifed on the flop, I am going all in."

As Gierse folded his hand, he said, "I am not qualified to call."

Martin Kabrhel Eliminated in 18th Place (€34,630)

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Stefan Fabian raised to 100,000 and the action folded to Martin Kabrhel in the cutoff. "Hippo says it's time, I just don't know if call or all in," Kabrhel said followed by plenty of other table talk. "I don't go all in," he followed up with and three-bet to 395,000 with 35,000 behind.

The action folded back to Fabian and he tried to put in a reraise, but only pushed forward 500,000. "That is just a call, right?" Kabrhel inquired and it was indeed just that. Fabian asked for the stack behind and Kabrhel replied "35,000, don't go crazy on the flop."

Somehow, the flop of {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades} was checked through, not without any table talk by Kabrhel though. He moved his hippo over to the middle of the table and said "smells like Ace high there. Is there any chance you fold?" before eventually checking behind.

Fabian bet 35,000 on the {7-Clubs} turn to set Kabrhel all in. "That is not correct. Minimum bet is 50,000, right?" Kabrhel inquired again and talked for another two minutes. Kabrhel then called all in and the cards were tabled.

Martin Kabrhel: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Stefan Fabian: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The {4-Clubs} river was a blank and Kabrhel was eliminated in 18th place for €34,630. Once all was done and the Czech had left the table, Kiryl Radzivonau said "thank you" to Fabian.

Peters Back in the Chip Lead

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

David Peters ended Day 3 with the chip lead and held onto it for a good part of Day 4. He began the day in third place but just increased his stack by more than 30 percent to reclaim his position as chip leader.

Peters raised to 105,000 from the cutoff. Sergei Petrushevskii called from the small blind, while Josip Vidovic, who is short on chips, got out of the way from the small blind.

Petrushevskii check-called a bet from Peters for 145,000 after the flop came {4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Petrushevskii check-called a bet again, this time for 260,000 after {10-Spades} hit the turn.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Peters bet for 370,000 after his opponent checked. Petrushevskii thought for a minute before he called. Peters shipped the hand and got his chip count back close to 4 million and the chip lead after he turned over {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and Petrushevskii tossed his hand into the muck.

David Peters and Felipe Ramos in Contention as Day 5 Starts with 18 Remaining

Felipe Ramos is among the final 18
Felipe Ramos is among the final 18

In two hours from now at 12 p.m. noon local time, Day 5 of the record-breaking 2016 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague Main Event will get underway. After four tournament days and 25 levels, the massive field of 1,192 entries has been whittled down to the last 18 and Jasper Meijer van Putten is leading the hopefuls with a stack of 3,770,000.

The Dutchman has already secured the biggest payday of his career with €34,630 locked up, but all eyes are set on the first-prize of €774,600 and the last chance to become an EPT Main Event champion. The popular tournament series is rebranding in 2017 and in less than a month from now, the first ever PokerStars Championship will take place in the Bahamas with online satellites already underway.

Marius Gierse follows in second place with 3,375,000 while David Peters is third with 2,985,000. Marton Czuczor already had several deep runs in EPT Main Events and is aiming to reach his first final table; the Hungarian comes into Day 5 with a healthy stack of 2,935,000. Other notables still in include EPT regular Kiryl Radzivonau (2,590,000), Andrew Hulme (2,205,000), 2015 World Series of Poker Europe runner-up David Lopez Llacer (2,200,000) and Sam Cohen (2,065,000).

The other two big names in contention will return with the shortest stacks. Martin Kabrhel has been very vocal at the tables and made it to Day 5, while Felipe Ramos is the last remaining PokerStars Team Pro and has 525,000. This represents just over 10 big blinds for level 26 with blinds of 25,000/50,000 and a running ante of 5,000.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be there to cover all key hands until a winner is crowned. You can also follow the updates of the record-breaking €10,300 High Roller as well, which is scheduled to determine the last ever EPT High Roller champion within the next two days.
