Carrel Makes the Others Fold

Niveau 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Martin Richter raised to 9,000 from mid-position and was called by Ismail Kalkan in the cutoff, Charlie Carrel on the button, and Simone Speranza in the small blind.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, everyone checked to Carrel who bet 13,000 which only Kalkan and Speranza called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts}, Speranza and Kalkan checked again. Carrel now barreled another bet of 40,000 and Speranza looked at his cards again before folding. Kalkan needed some more time, glanced at the board once more before showing the {a-Diamonds} and announcing the fold.

Laufer Joins the Big Stacks

Niveau 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Itai Laufer was celebrating wildly after cracking the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of an opponent with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Aces on the flop and river of a {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Hearts} run out meant that his 168,000 stack covered that of his opponent by under 10,000, and he moved up over 300,000 in chips.

He still has a long way to go to catch current chip leader Danilo Velasevic who sits on over 500,000.

Kuzmanovic Eliminates Duthweiler

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Boris Kuzmanovic raised to 6,000 from mid-position and action folded to Tobias Duthweiler in the big blind who put his whole stack of 500-value chips in worth around 16,000. Kuzmanovic called instantly.

Tobias Duthweiler: {q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Boris Kuzmanovic: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to give Duthweiler a gutshot to the straight draw.

The turn was the {a-Spades} to keep Kuzmanovic ahead and Duthweiler in need of the seven or six to stay alive.

The river completed the board with the {k-Clubs} to deal the final blow to Duthweiler as Kuzmanovic stayed ahead and now even hit a pair of kings to eliminate Duthweiler from Day 1A.

Lovelock Eliminates Ferrah

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Meddi Ferrah moved all in for 29,500 or ten big blinds from middle position. Colin Lovelock called and the remaining players folded.

Meddi Ferrah: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Colin Lovelock: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Lovelock avoided a myriad of outs to send his opponent to the rail, and chip up to around 200,000.

Mustafov Sends Jojic to the Rail

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Krasimir Yankov limped in the small blind and Jovan Jojic checked his big blind. The pair both checked the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} flop and the turn was the {2-Diamonds}.

Yankov checked again and Jojic bet 4,000. Yankov check-raised to 16,500 and Jojic called.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Yankov moved all in.

Jojic tanked. "Weird hand," he said, weighing up his options. Eventually the clock was called and with barely two seconds left Jojic called.

Yankov showed {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a set of twos and Jojic's {k-Spades}{6-Hearts} for top pair went into the muck and he was eliminated.
