Danchev Busts Chaieb

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ali Chaieb
Ali Chaieb

After a raise by Dimitar Danchev from early position, short stack Ali Chaieb moved all in for 94,000 and Danchev called in the last hand of the level.

Ali Chaieb: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Dimitar Danchev: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

On the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop Chaieb improved to a pair of kings and asked for a deuce, while Danchev pointed to his sixes and asked for clubs. The {A-Clubs} turn was a club, and now Chaieb asked for hearts. His previous wish was granted as a deuce appeared, but it was the {2-Clubs} that fell on the river, improving Danchev to a flush and sending Chaieb to the rail in 33rd place.

Abouaf Eliminates Sheshukov

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Dan Abouaf and Aleksandr Sheshukov were all in on a board of {7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Hearts} when we got to their table. It looked to be a battle of the blinds, but Josip Simunic said he folded an ace so he may have seen the flop from the button as well.

Abouaf was drawing with {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} against {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for two pair. The turn was a {j-Hearts} and the river a {2-Hearts}, so Abouaf got there twice and took Sheshukov's last 245,000 or so.

Eric Sfez raised to 20,000 first to act and was called by Pierre Morin from one seat over. [Removed:432] moved all in for 72,000 in the small blind and Sfez as well as Morin called.

The two remaining active players checked down the board {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and [Removed:433] showed the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for the nut straight. Sfez muked {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Morin had the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}, losing a decent chunk of his stack as a result.

Sheshukov Shows Tens

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

After a split pot between Eric Sfez and David Peters, who both had a full house aces over queens, and another between Ali Chaeb with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Federico Petruzzelli with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, the next player to move all in was Aleksandr Sheshukov.

He called a raise by Josip Simunic from under the gun and the Austrian checked the {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop. Sheshukov moved all in for 146,000 and Simunic asked for a count before folding. Sheshukov flipped over the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for an overpair.

Bad Cards Turn Good for Abouaf

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Chaofei Wang shoved all in for 97,000 in the big blind over a button open from Dan Abouaf to 21,000.

"I have bad cards," Abouaf declared after getting the count, but he called anyway.

Those turned out to be {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} but they were live against {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} brought air for both players but the {10-Clubs} turn meant Abouaf picked up a flush draw. He paired on the river with the {j-Diamonds} but that was enough to beat ace-high.

Karakousis Busts; Sheshukov Doubles

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

At almost the same time on different tables, Georgios Karakousis and Aleksandr Sheshukov were all in and at risk.

Karakousis three-bet shoved out of the small blind and was called by PokerStars online qualifier Carl-Fredrik Tingvall.

Georgios Karakousis: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Carl-Fredrik Tingvall: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Tingvall paired his ace on the flop to eliminate Karakousis in 36th place.

Right after, Sheshukov was all in for just 82,000 with the {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Dan Abouaf looked him up with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and the board came {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades}{2-Hearts} to give Sheshukov a pair of kings.

Cinderella Story Gyorgyi Continues

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

Imagine this: you have no recorded live cashes. You qualified for a €5,300 EPT Main Event for just 5 euro online. Then, you navigate through a field with the best in the world, make it to the final 36 and take a seat at one of the grandest stages of them all.

This is Krisztian Gyorgyi's run in a nutshell, and the Hungarian's incredible journey hasn't concluded just yet. At the feature table, Davidi Kitai raised to 22,000 from under the gun. Gyorgyi three-bet to 85,000 from the small blind, Kitai four-bet shoved and Gryorgyi called it off after some deep thought.

Krisztian Gyorgyi: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Davidi Kitai: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

It was a massive coin flip for Gyorgyi, and he stood up, held his hands on his head and anxiously sighed. Kitai, no stranger to these situations, sat stoically at the table, arms crossed.

The flop {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} was good for Gryorgyi, as was the {9-Hearts} turn. The Hungarian said some prayers before the {8-Spades} landed on the river, securing the double up. He quickly ran off the stage in excitement, then returned and fist-pumped before sitting down again. Kitai let out a faint smile and counted out 377,000 to ship over to Gyorgyi.
