The penultimate day of the record-breaking PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona €5,300 Main Event awaits as of 12 p.m. noon local time when 16 hopefuls out of a field of 1,988 entries will return to their seats at Casino Barcelona. All of the remaining players have at least €71,400 locked up for their efforts and the biggest slice of the huge €9,641,800 prize pool is still up for grabs.
In two day's time, a life-changing score of €1,659,000 awaits to the eventual champion and Portugal's Rui Sousa leads the sweet sixteen heading into Day 5 with a stack of 6,980,000. Three other players have more than 5 million in chips to their name and Marton Czuczor already knows what it feels like to run deep in an EPT Main Event as he finished second to Jasper Meijer van Putten in Prague in 2016. Czuczor will enter Day 5 with 6,065,000.
Yunye Lu (5,490,000) is third in chips and will aim to become the first-ever Chinese EPT Main Event champion, a feat that Haoxiang Wang narrowly missed out on back in 2018 right here in Barcelona. Lu's countryman Jiayuan Liu (3,485,000) is also among the contenders for Day 5 as well. Balakrishna Patur follows with a stack of 5,470,000 and Pasquale Braco rounds out the top 5 with a stack of 4,485,000.
Also in contention on the penultimate day are Johan Storakers (4,200,000), two-time EPT Main Event finalist Kully Sidhu (3,460,000), Alexander Ivarsson (3,085,000), Shannon Shorr (1,830,000) and Diego Falcone (1,800,000).
There are 15:40 left to be played in Level 27 with blinds at 30,000/60,000 and a big blind ante of 60,000. The tournament director has welcomed the players back to the tables and instructed the dealers to shuffle up and deal.
Johan Storakers won the first pot of the day when he raised to 190,000 and claimed the blinds and big blind ante.
Up next, Yunye Lu raised to 130,000 and Alexander Ivarsson called in the big blind. Ivarsson check-called a bet of 150,000 on the flop and led the turn for 250,000, Lu called. After the river, Ivarsson made it another 550,000 to go and Lu called.

Felipe Salgado raised to 130,000 and was called by Jiayuan Liu and Leandro Bustillo in the blinds.
They all checked through the flop to the on the turn. Liu and Bustillo both checked. Salgado bet 225,000 and Liu confirmed the amount with the dealer before raising to 575,000. Bustill0 quickly folded and so did Salgado.

Pasquale Braco raised to 125,000 with from early position. Balakrishna Patur picked up in the cutoff and slid in a call. The flop came and Braco bet 160,000. Patur raised to 400,000 and Braco called with the gutshot and overcard.
The turn was the and both players checked. The river brought the and Braco took a stab at it with a bet of 600,000. Patur, however, decided to turn his nines into a bluff and shoved all in for 4,915,000.
Braco, wth 3,360,000 behind, used up one time-bank card before folding the king-high.

Jiayuan Liu on the button successfully three-bet an open raise of Yunye Lu from under the gun and then raised the cutoff to 120,000, which Lu in the big blind called. On the flop, Lu checked and a bet of 150,000 won the pot for Liu.
Liu also won another pot with a continuation bet on aa jack-high flop and claimed three pots to boost his stack early on.
