Julien Martini opened to 11,000 from the cutoff and Francesc Roca-Cusachs three-bet shoved for about 87,000 from the small blind. Martini made the call.
Francesc Roca-Cusachs:
Julien Martini:
The board came and Roca-Cusachs couldn't hit and headed to the rail.
Hubert Baran Osinski defended his big blind against a raise by Patrice Brandt and check-called a bet worth 8,000 on the flop. On the turn both players checked and Osinski checked the river, then snap-called a bet of 45,000 by Brandt.
Brandt turned over for a bluff and Osinski won the pot with for two pair.
Pete Chen opened to 10,000 and Kalle Keski Opas three-bet the button to 31,000. Enrique Rodriguez Cabanillas four-bet all in for around 100,000 and Chen folded, Opas quickly called.
Enrique Rodriguez Cabanillas:
Kalle Keski Opas:
The board ran out and the superior pocket pair held up.
Not Long ago, Balazs Biri had a decent stack but the Hungarian has since vanished. Peter Kamaras headed over to the table to inquire what happened and was told that Biri had gotten it in preflop for a lot of big blinds with ace-ten and ran into the pocket aces of Alen Alencar.
With a stack of more than 700,000, Alencar is among the biggest stacks right now.
Walter Coan is experiencing a roller coaster ride to his stack late on Day 1a as he lost half of it only to send Aberivaldo Leite Da Rocha to the rail to get back to where he was.
It all went in after the flop and both tabled a flush draw.
Aberivaldo Leite Da Rocha:
Walter Coan:
The turn and river bricked off and ace-high won the pot for Coan.
There were two all in and call at the same time when the dealers were instructed to halt the action. The hand-for-hand on the money bubble didn't kick off though, as two players were all in.
First up it was Virgil Grecu in a battle of the blinds for 51,000 and he faced Adrian Echave Samu.
Virgil Grecu:
Adrian Echave Samu:
The flop changed nothing as Pinter had the diamonds covered. The turn brought some chop outs but the river improved Echave Samu.
Gergo Pinter ended up all in for 129,000 as he called the push of Joao Lopes De Oliveira and had the best of it heading into the showdown.
Gergo Pinter:
Joao Lopes De Oliveira:
The flop spelled trouble for Pinter and he suddenly needed a deuce or king as soon as the turn improved Lopes De Oliveira to a flush. A blank came on the river and Pinter also missed out on the money. Since the players have to make Day 2 to receive a portion of the prize pool, both Grecu and Pinter came up short and will have to try again.
