Jour 2 a débuté
The 2019 PokerStars EPT Prague festival is in full swing now and this is one of the marquee events with the largest buy-in throughout the week. After a quick Day 1 that saw a total of 30 entries in the €50,000 EPT Super High Roller, at least 21 players will return to their seats for action on Day 2.
Kahle Burns bagged the largest stack after just six levels with an impressive 899,000 chips. Burns went on a late heater, sending multiple players to the rail en route to the chip lead. He will be followed by Vladimir Troyanovskiy with 687,000 chips and Ben Heath with 646,000. Both Troyanovskiy and Heath have already cashed in events this week and will be looking to add to their success as Day 2 continues.
Some other notables near the top of the counts include Chin Wei Lim (532,000), Timothy Adams (508,000), Juha Helppi (443,000), and Sam Greenwood (323,000). There are few players who didn't take part in Day 1 who are expected to register today that include Adrian Mateos, winner of Event #1, Sergio Aido, Bryn Kenney, and Davidi Kitai.
With late registration open for another two levels, there are also many players who are expected to return for a second bullet. This tournament does provide an unlimited re-entry option so the action should be fast-paced in the early going. The cards will go in the air at 12:30 p.m. local time with the blinds resuming at 2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 big blind ante. A starting stack is worth 250,000 chips which gives the players plenty of big blinds to work with.
The suggested schedule for Day 2 is to play 10 levels or until the final six players are reached. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a dinner break has not been decided on as of yet. The prizepool and payout information will be available once the registration period is closed.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day on route to the final table. A champion will be crowned on Day 3 tomorrow.
