Zheng Busts In First Minute

Niveau 1 : 100/100, 0 ante
Jiayu Ruan
Jiayu Ruan

Wei Zheng was seen leaving the tournament area and the dealer on Table 16 yelled: "Seat open!"

Jiayu Ruan was stacking up chips while the dealer wiped the board but he was kind enough to relay what had happened:

According to Ruan (small blind), he had raised with {a-}{a-} and Zheng (big blind) three-bet. Ruan four-bet, Zheng five-bet, Ruan six-bet-shoved and Zheng called with {j-}{10-} suited.

The board ran out {9-}{9-}{q-}{10-}{j-}.

Excellent Start for Blain

Niveau 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Dermot Blain
Dermot Blain

The second player to bust on Day 1b was Tzur Levy and he sent his chips over to Dermot Blain. The Irishman just claimed another decent pot to become the early frontrunner as he cut the stack of Anton Siden into nearly half.

Picking up the action on the {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} turn, Blain in the big blind made it 1,000 to go and Siden in the cutoff raised it up to 4,000, which Blain called. After the {8-Spades} river, Blain checked and Siden now made it 8,000 to go. Blain tossed in a raise to 40,000, which had Siden's remaining stack covered by far, and that ended up forcing a fold.

Li Busts Lipp During the Break

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Yuan Li
Yuan Li

Two hands took several minutes into the break and one of them would once again see Yuan Li and [Removed:220] in action in a battle button versus big blind. On the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, Lipp bet 3,000 and Li min-raised to 6,000, which Lipp reluctantly called.

After the {k-Spades} turn, Lipp checked with just shy of 20,000 behind and Li moved all in for 20,100. Lipp tanked until six minutes of the break had passed and then called it off.

[Removed:220]: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Yuan Li: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts} river was a blank and Lipp was covered by a few chips only to hit the rail.

Action Table; Richez Doubles Up

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Clement Richez
Clement Richez

On Table 15, two players had already busted and Clement Richez had just sat down.

He was all-in on the {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades} board from the big blind after Oleg Drews had shoved on the button with the bigger stack. Ionel Anton check-folded in the cutoff and showed he had {q-}{q-}.

Clement Richez: {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Oleg Drews: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Richez had flopped a pair of sevens and held an open-ended straight draw while Drews was sitting on a flush draw.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} which gave Richez the straight indeed and the river completed the board with the {q-Clubs} to secure the double-up.

Sorensson More Than Doubles

Niveau 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Sebastian Sorensson
Sebastian Sorensson

A player opened from middle position to 800 and Alberto Borsoi called from the cutoff. Kenny Hallaert sat on the button and three-bet to 3,500. The small blind folded and Sebastian Sorensson was seated in the big blind and he just called. The initial raiser got out of the way and Borsoi called as well.

The flop was dealt {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and it checked to Hallaert who continued with a bet of 4,000. Sorensson and Borsoi both called to see the turn and that was the {k-Diamonds}.

Sorensson opted to jam right away on the turn for 10,800 and Borsoi called. Hallaert tanked for a minute before he let go of his hand.

Sorensson opened up {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and he was ahead of the {a-Spades}{9-Spades} of Borsoi. The river was the {9-Diamonds} and that was safe for Sorensson who doubled up.

Ran Azor: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Paul Michaelis: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Krawinski Wins Big Three-Way All-In

Niveau 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Jakub Krawinski
Jakub Krawinski

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} and with about 7,500 in the middle already it was a player who moved his last 22,000 in the middle. Jakub Krawinski pushed 51,900 over the line to go all in as well and when two players folded it was Erwann Pecheux who moved all in as well, covering both opponents.

Pecheux tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and he was up against the {5-Spades}{3-Hearts} of Krawinski and the {7-Spades}{6-Hearts} of the shortest stack.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and the river the {8-Spades} and Pecheux received a blow to his stack while Krawinski won a big 130,000 pot. The third player in the hand was sent to the rail.

Kim Busts Filatov and Levy

Niveau 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Gab Yong Kim
Gab Yong Kim

Gab Yong Kim has joined the big stacks before the dinner break after just scoring a double knockout by sending Anatoly Filatov and Tzur Levy to the rail.

Anatoly Filatov: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Tzur Levy: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Gab Yong Kim: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Filatov had been the shortest stack heading into the showdown for around 11,000 and Kim had the best of it. The {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop gave Filatov some hope with a gutshot and a queen would have given him the straight while that card would have improved Levy to a set.

The {5-Diamonds} on the turn left Filatov drawing dead and the {9-Hearts} on the river locked up the entire pot for Kim.
