Action was picked up on the flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, with Ana Marquez leading for 1,600 from the big blind against Tobias Dassau in middle position.

Dassau made the call to see the {k-Spades} fall on the turn. Marquez checked and Dassau bet 2,100.

Marquez inquired how much her opponent had behind, which Dassau told her was 11,000.

After some brief thought, Marquez opted to fold her hand.

Shem Scoops Huge Three-Way All-in Pot

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Tov Shem
Tov Shem

PokerNews arrived to table 37 as the clock had been called on a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

Stefan Fabian had moved all-in for approximately 25,000 over Tov Shem and Angelo Castriotta.

Shem then moved all-in for 44,300, and Castriotta moved in for slightly more.

Stefan Fabian: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Tov Shem: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Angelo Castriotta: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Fabian was likely to be out the door, as his overpair was no match for Castriotta's flopped straight. However, it would be Shem's nut flush coming in after the dealer spread the {6-Hearts} on the turn, then the {8-Diamonds} on the river to award Shem the massive pot.

Fabian was indeed eliminated, while Castriotta was left with under ten big blinds.

With around 7,000 in the pot and {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades} on the board, Lukas Zaskodny bet 3,500 and Ramon Colillas raised to 10,000. Zaskodny called and the river was {k-Spades}.

Zaskodny checked and Colillas bet 12,000.

"Most terrible river," Zaskodny said as he shook his head. After a few moments of consideration, he folded his hand and Colillas took the pot.

Lappin Scores Back-to-Back Pots for a Big Double

Niveau 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
David Lappin
David Lappin

David Lappin raised to 2,000 from middle position and Yaniv Botbol called from two seats over.

The flop was {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Lappin checked. Botbol bet 3,000 and Lappin check-raised to 9,000. Botbol quickly got away from it and Lappin took the pot, bringing his stack to around 77,000.

On the very next hand, Lappin raised to 2,000 again. Action folded around to a player on the button, who three-bet to 6,700. Lappin called and the flop was {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Lappin checked the flop and called when his opponent bet 4,500. The turn was {2-Clubs}.

Lappin checked once again and quickly called when his opponent bet 13,500. The river was {3-Spades}.

The player on the button shoved for 47,000 after Lappin checked for a third time. After a brief moment of thought, Lappin looked his opponent up and turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. The button had {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Lappin counted out his last 44,000 for a big double.

As the hand was reaching its climax, 2018 WSOP Europe Main Event champ Jack Sinclair took his new seat at the table.

"I was going to toss it, but Jack arrived and I didn't want to look weak," Lappin said as pulled in the giant pot.

Tag Team Champ Loses in Three-Way Dance

Nikita Luther
Nikita Luther

Nikita Luther, who shared a win in the 2018 WSOP $1,000 Tag Team event, has been building a stack through the day, but recently dropped a small pot in a three-handed pot.

Luther raised to 2,500 in early position and was called by Ismail Jazdi on the button and Hayato Kitajima in the big blind.

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Kitajima checked, and Luther continued for 2,100. Both opponents called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and with action again checked to her, Luther this time checked. Jazdi took the opportunity to bet 3,500.

Kitajima tanked, as the bet represented a sizable portion of his dwindling stack, then ultimately folded, as did Luther.

Avigal Rockets Over 300,000 (With Rockets)

Meir Avigal
Meir Avigal

Meir Avigal just alerted the PokerNews team to a big hand that's put him amongst the chip leaders.

A player in early position opened to 3,000, a player in late position three-bet to 7,500, and in the big blind, Avigal woke up with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and came in with a four-bet to 24,000.

Only the late position player called to see a flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

Avigal continued for 27,000 and got called. On the {q-Hearts} turn, both players checked.

The {7-Hearts} fell on the river, giving Avigal the nut flush, which he bet for 60,000.

Avigal's opponent called with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the second nut flush, which launched Avigal's stack up to 310,000, which he has continued to grow since.

The grind continues for David Lappin, who's been trying to make the most of his stack.

In a recent battle of the blinds with Milan Simko, on a turn board of {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, Simko bet 5,500 from the small blind and Lappin called from the big.

The river brought the {k-Hearts} and this time Simko check-called a bet of 6,000 from Lappin, who showed {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, for a winning top pair.
