Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ran Manor raised to 3,300 from under the gun and Alexander Holmberg called from middle position. The blinds got out of the way and action was heads up.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Manor continued for 11,000. Holmberg shoved for 35,000 and Manor called quickly to put Holmberg at risk.

Alexander Holmberg: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Ran Manor: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Manor was behind, and the turn {4-Diamonds} and river {q-Clubs} brought no help, as Holmberg secured the double with three queens.

Avigal Rockets Over 300,000 (With Rockets)

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Meir Avigal
Meir Avigal

Meir Avigal just alerted the PokerNews team to a big hand that's put him amongst the chip leaders.

A player in early position opened to 3,000, a player in late position three-bet to 7,500, and in the big blind, Avigal woke up with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and came in with a four-bet to 24,000.

Only the late position player called to see a flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

Avigal continued for 27,000 and got called. On the {q-Hearts} turn, both players checked.

The {7-Hearts} fell on the river, giving Avigal the nut flush, which he bet for 60,000.

Avigal's opponent called with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the second nut flush, which launched Avigal's stack up to 310,000, which he has continued to grow since.

Aces Versus Kings Doesn't End Well for Videll

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Thomas Videll was just seen snapping a picture of the horrific outcome that brought an end to his tournament.

According to Sebastian Kappenberg, who won the hand, they got into a preflop raising battle with Kappenberg finally calling a five-bet all-in by Videll.

Thomas Videll: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Sebastian Kappenberg: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Things looked glorious for Videll, as the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} gave him top set to further solidify his lead in the hand.

However, the {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {4-Hearts} on the river gave Kappenberg runners to a flush, crushing Videll's hopes and giving Kappenberg a near full double-up.

Costas Lays Down a Full House

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With a big pot in the middle and {7-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on the board, Maxime Costas bet 23,500 from the big blind and Robert Kristaly shoved for 90,600 from under the gun.

Kostas went deep into the tank for several minutes, and time was eventually called by his opponent. However, Costas briskly tossed his hand in the muck, exposing a {10-} before the tournament director could make it over the table.

Kristaly had a puzzled reaction to the fold.

"You could've had {j-}{j-}," Costas explained.

Martini to Either Move to New Table or Out of the Room

Niveau 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

As a tournament director loomed nearby with an armful of chip racks to break Julien Martini's table, the French star moved his final 55,000 chips into the middle on a board of {8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

The bet represented about half of the approximately 110,000 chips in the pot, which Martini got to pull in his direction as his opponent folded.

Martini then moved on to his new table as tournament staff is breaking tables fast and furiously with just over 400 players left in the field.
