Talboom Gets Big Value on River

Niveau 18 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a three-way completed board of {7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, action had checked to Tom Talboom under-the-gun and he bet 58,000 into the already massive pot of 125,000.

Derk van Luijk in the small blind folded, but Robert Heidorn in the big blind ended up making the call after spending some time in the tank.

Heidorn was then shown {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} by Talboom for a turned straight and he quickly mucked his hand. Talboom was pushed the nig pot to boost his stack to 480,000.

That includes the legend himself, Doyle Brunson, celebrating his 89th birthday. Listen to folks like Phil Hellmuth, Eli Elezra, Matt Savage, and Stefanie Ungar wish "Texas Dolly" a happy birthday.

They also dive into the uproar caused by Hustler Casino canceling a $250K GTD tournament after it had already held four flights, discuss Dan Shak getting into hot water in the commodities world, and debate whether or not they could live in Bally's for a year for $100,000, a popular prop bet that was talked about on social media this week.

Other stories include popular streamer Ludwig calling out the same scammer that Ethan “RampagePoker” Yau did, winners from the recently-completed 2022 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO), and the new slate of online bracelets coming to WSOP.com and GGPoker. Finally, the crew remembers three-time bracelet winner Panayote "Pete the Greek" Vilandos, who passed away at the end of July.

Fischer Up to 1.25 Million and Seven Bounties, Wins Kings vs. Queens

Niveau 18 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Manuel Fischer
Manuel Fischer

With just four players before the bubble bursts, Manuel Fischer opened to 30,000 from the cutoff and Gheorghe Butuc three-bet to 75,000 from the small blind. Fischer, the tournament chip leader, moved all in. Butuc had around 200,000 behind and took his time before the clock was called. Eventually, as the floor counted down from ten, the Moldovan made the call.

Gheorghe Butuc: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Manuel Fischer: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Butuc was floored when he realized he was miles behind as Fischer tabled pocket kings against his pocket queens.

The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}, giving Fischer a set of queens and Butuc was drawing nearly dead.

The bounty was clinched when the {6-Clubs} arrived on the turn. The {2-Clubs} completed the board and Butuc was eliminated near the stone bubble.

The win made Fischer the first player in the room to go over one million while he also collected his seventh bounty of the day.
