Decamps Delivers Final Blow to Van Der Loo

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Florian Decamps
Florian Decamps

Florian Decamps raised it up from an early position and then called the shove for 134,000 by Mark van der Loo in the blinds.

Mark van der Loo: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Florian Decamps: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

Both joked that their holdings could make a straight flush. On the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, van der Loo made the top two pair while Decamps had an open-ended straight draw. Nothing changed on the {k-Diamonds} turn but the {q-Clubs} river improved the table big stack to a straight.

Mokri Takes a Big Pot Without a Showdown

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Kayhan Mokri
Kayhan Mokri

With a giant pot of near 600,000 in the middle and a full board of {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, Adolphe Weinberg bet 125,000 and Kayhan Mokri shoved from the next seat over for 373,000.

Weinberg went into the tank and talked out all of the possibilities. He seemed to zero in on the chance that his opponent was holding {7-}{7-}, and eventually he got away from it.

Mokri smiled and dragged the pot, showing only {j-Hearts}.

Mateos Eliminated by Di Ceglie

Adrian Mateos

In a battle of the blinds between two short stacks, Pasquale Di Ceglie open-jammed into Adrian Mateos and the Spaniard instantly called with the slightly inferior stack.

Adrian Mateos: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Pasquale Di Ceglie: {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Clubs were dominated but Di Ceglie instead got there with his two live cards on the {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs} board to send Mateos to the rail. He jumped out of his seat in celebration to tell the good news to his partner on the rail. Biggest stack on the table is another Spanish player in Javier Gomez Zapatero.

Shehadeh Eliminated by Lukash

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Luigi Shehadeh
Luigi Shehadeh

Following a flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Luigi Shehadeh in a middling position check-raised to 129,000 and received a call from table neighbour Ruslan Lukash. They headed to the {6-Clubs} turn on which Shehadeh checked and subsequently called a bet worth 70,000 by Lukash.

The {3-Spades} fell on the river and Shehadeh moved all-in for around 170,000 to pick up a snap-call by Lukash. Shehadeh turned over the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the nut flush but Lukash had the best of it with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for a turned full house.

Alejandro Lococo: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} to give Bruneteaux a turned straight and keep his tournament life alive against the PokerStars Ambassador.

Lococo was left with roughly 350,000 after the hand, although he was seen making his exit shortly thereafter. According to players at the table, he lost a flip against Atanas Kodinov and his run came to an end.

Nguyen and Ciccone Fall to Cervantes

Thi Xoa Nguyen

On a completed board of {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Thi Xoa Nguyen leveled herself into calling all-in when facing the push by Jaime Cervantes and flashed her {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the top pair. However, she ran smack dab into the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the flopped nuts and was sent to the payout desk.

Only one hand later, Riccardo Ciccone pushed for 86,000 from under the gun and Cervantes called from two seats over while all other players folded.

Riccardo Ciccone: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Jaime Cervantes: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the suited overcards missed for Cervantes to score the next knockout.

Wheeler Knocks Out Palvini

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

Jeremy Palvini was spotted on his short way to the payout desk as his former table was right next to the waiting line. His cards were mucked already as the table talked about what happened.

"He really jammed more than 30 blinds with ace-nine off?" one of the players inquired and Jason Wheeler nodded. "Yeah, six thousand, 19,000 and all-in, snap-call," the American poker pro said with a big smile on the face.

It was Wheeler after all who had scored the knockout when his {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} prevailed on a board of {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}. That pot pushed the American well above the average while Palvini can now take advantage of the sunny weather at the French Riviera.

The PokerStars Ambassador was flipping, and the {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop left Enriquez drawing slim. The {5-Hearts} and {7-Hearts} completed the board and Enriquez was eliminated by his fellow Spaniard.
