Sitbon Busts Faraut

Niveau 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

Daniel Lunario bet 2,500 from the cutoff with {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} on the board and Patrick Faraut shoved from the button for 9,400. Julien Sitbon responded with a four-bet shove to 16,700 and Lunario went into the tank for a moment.

Lunario tossed his hand in the muck and Faraut was at risk against Sitbon. Sitbon turned over {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for deuces and threes and Faraut had {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the top pair of sevens. The river was {6-Clubs} with no help to improve Faraut and he hit the rail while Sitbon gathered the pot.

Abehassera Eliminated by Lococo

Niveau 5 : 200/500, 500 ante
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo

Alejandro Lococo raised to 1,100 from under the gun and was called by David Lopez Llacer on the button. Stephane Abehassera was then all-in for the last 1,500 in the big blind and received two calls.

The {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop brought a bet worth 600 by Lococo and a call by Lopez Llacer.

"Ten of hearts!" Lococo demanded and the {4-Spades} appeared on the turn. "Close," the dealer joked and several players at the table started laughing.

Lococo bet again and Lopez Llacer now folded.

Stephane Abehassera: {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Alejandro Lococo: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {7-Diamonds} river completed the board and Abehassera missed his flush draw to hit the rail.

Aceto Chips Up Against Colillas

Niveau 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

Three ways to the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop, Morgan Aceto bet 1,500 from an early position and Victoria Coren Mitchell let go. PokerStars ambassador Ramon Colillas check-called and both then checked down the {10-Spades} turn.

On the {k-Spades} river, Aceto checked behind and Colillas turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. However, that ended up second-best as Aceto had flopped the bottom end of the straight with the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Sellam Bad Beats Puetz

Niveau 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

In a preflop raising war, Frenchman Rubens Sellam was all-in and at risk for the last 21,300 and it was one of the most classic setups in which he was in dire shape against Christopher Puetz.

Rubens Sellam: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Christopher Puetz: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Sellam sighed visibly and was ready to leave when he found no help on the {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and {2-Diamonds} turn. However, the {k-Diamonds} river came to the rescue and Sellam doubled to leave Puetz short.

The same table also features the defending champion Manig Loeser and Jessica Teusl.

Oya Busts a Second Time

Niveau 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

The board and {10-Clubs}{9-} of Masashi Oya were already rushed away in the last hand before the break as the player from Japan was sent to the rail. It was the second time he lost all of his chips and he won't be able to re-enter anymore, as the tournament only allows for a maximum of two entries.

Joseph Sabe was on the receiving end in the last showdown as he claimed the pot with the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} to further cement his decent start into the day. Further assorted counts from nearby tables can be found below.

Maltez up, Mattern Down

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Arnaud Mattern
Arnaud Mattern

With a full board of {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, Tim Klaversma was seen paying off Fabrice Maltez, who had committed his last 35,000 with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Klaversma was showing {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, which wasn't good enough to beat the three aces of Maltez.

On the very next hand, Arnaud Mattern open-shoved for 7,800 and Klaversma shoved behind with his last 9,000. The rest of the table got out of the way and action was heads up with Mattern at risk.

Arnaud Mattern: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Tim Klaversma: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Klaversma made a pair of kings to eliminate Mattern and bring his stack partially back to health.

Kasai Chips Up Further

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Heads-up on the {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} turn, Jonathan Barusta checked and then called a bet worth 4,000 by the table big stack Jun Kasai. The {7-Diamonds} on the river was checked by both and Barusta tabled the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for tens and deuces.

Kasai had that beat with {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for the superior two pair and chipped up further.
