Cette cagnotte représentait 415 000€, plus que l'argent dévolu au payout (390 100€) !

Jean-Noel Thorel a dominé l'Espagnol Sergi Reixach en head's up mais Reixach a tiré un des deux bounty du tournoi à 100 000€. L'autre enveloppe golden a été pour un autre joueur qui a fini dans l'argent, le tricolore Imad Derwiche (4e). Le Canadien Sam Greenwood a lui tiré l'enveloppe à 50 000€, un joli lot de consolation !

With a cash prize pool of €390,100 and €415,000 allocated in eleven Mystery Bounties, more than half of the prize money was up for grabs by chance and selecting the fortunate envelopes.

Runner-up Sergi Reixach was responsible for five eliminations and earned as many bounties, one of which he chopped with the eventual champion Jean-Noel Thorel.

Jean-Noel Thorel raised it up from the button and Sergi Reixach defended the big blind to see a flop of . Reixach opted to check and Thorel then splashed in a bet worth 480,000. The shove by Reixach for around 1.2 million followed and Thorel called without asking for an exact count.

Mix Up Causes Confusion, Thorel Leaves Reixach Short

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 275,000 from the button and Sergi Reixach defended.

They both checked through the to the on the turn. Reixach check-raised the 100,000 bet of Thorel to 600,000 and was called.

The completed the board and Thorel bet 600,000 out of turn. The floor was called and Reixach had the option. Reixach seemed uncomfortable with the situation and felt bad. He bet 600,000 for Thorel to make the call. Reixach and the floor explained to Thorel that he had the option still but Thorel insisted on calling.

Reixach showed the for the straight but then Thorel flipped over the for the nut flush.

Reixach put his hands in his hair: "Oh no, you're supposed to raise..."

The floor explained to Thorel that he was supposed to raise when he was last to act and had the nuts as per the rules. Thorel nodded and the floor was ready to give him a penalty but Reixach objected and said he'd wouldn't play like that. In the end, no penalty was given as everyone agreed things had become confusing and they continued play.

Sergi Reixach jammed his superior stack into the table short stack Belarmino De Souza, who more than happily called and had the best of it preflop.

It was a potential shift in momentum with De Souza on the verge of doubling for nearly one million. However, Reixach picked up a flush draw on the flop which he then instantly completed on the turn. That made the river a formality and it was time to draw for the golden envelope once more.

Even De Souza was there and filmed with his smart phone. Two €10,000 bounties and the elusive €100,000 top prize were still up for grabs. Reixach peeled slowly and then celebrated vividly when he indeed nailed the €100,000 Mystery Bounty.

Moments later, De Souza headed to the payout desk to collect his cash prize of €49,930.

Imad Derwiche moved all-in from under the gun with the far shortest stack and Sergi Reixach went all-in over the top in the cutoff. Belarmino De Souza went into the tank in the small blind and reluctantly folded while he was enduring some chatter by Derwiche.

Once it was on Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind, the Frenchman called and the following three-way all-in unfolded.

"That's good for me," Derwiche said with a big smile. However, his two live cards found no help on the board and the Frenchman had to settle for a cash prize of €38,420 and previously earned Mystery Bounty of €100,000.

His bounty prize was a team work between Thorel and Reixach with the latter suggesting the golden hand in the previous draw qualified Thorel to pick the envelope. It was then Reixach who opened it as they sweated a €15,000 prize to be chopped between them.

Jean-Noel Thorel made it 125,000 to go from under the gun and Imad Derwiche went into the tank with a short stack. He used three time banks, mentioned "I am tired guys" and then folded. Sergi Reixach called on the button, Belarmino De Souza did so in the small blind.

Steve O'Dwyer had 175,000 behind in the big blind and inquired if a shove by him would re-open the action, which was not the case as he needed at least 190,000 for a full raise. O'Dwyer then flat-called and jammed the flop for the last 50,000, earning three calls.

They checked through the turn and river as O'Dwyer tabled the . De Souza had , Reixach exposed the and Thorel had the best of it with . As the Frenchman drew the envelope for the Mystery Bounty, he grabbed the €50,000 prize and earned applause from the remaining opponents and other players in the room.

As for O'Dwyer, his run ended in 5th place for a cash prize of €30,430.

After returning from the break, Rodrigo Selouan raised to 100,000 on the button and Sergi Reixach pushed all-in out of the small blind to win the pot.

In the next hand, Reixach opened to 100,000 on the button and Lukasz Szymon Grossmann three-bet jammed for 520,000 in the big blind. Reixach mulled it over for a short while and called within the allocated 30 second shot clock.

The Spaniard was caught on a move for the Mystery Bounty once again but this time got there on the board. He won the next hand and then redeemed his bounty. Imad Derwiche walked by and waved his hand already, predicting it to be a €10,000 bounty only.

Reixach peeled slowly and indeed redeemed the €10,000 value bounty, while Grossmann was waiting to collect his cash prize of €14,630.
