Welcome to the 2022 PokerStars EPT Monte-Carlo €10,200 Mystery Bounty
After a hiatus of three years, the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) presented by Monte-Carlo Casino® has returned to the French Riviera. From April 28, 2022, some of the biggest names on the live poker circuit will be battling for glory at Monte-Carlo Sporting.
The first high stakes contest gets underway on the first day of the series and features a buy-in of €10,200. It is the first time the Mystery Bounty format will be used by PokerStars for a five figure buy-in while the operator has already hosted the latest craze in the world of live and online poker on previous EPT stops.
From each buy-in, €4,700 will go towards the cash prize pool while €5,000 are allocated to the bounty prize pool. The Mystery Bounties will commence once the tournament has reached the money and all players still in contention when the cash bubble has burst will receive a Mystery Bounty token. For each opponent eliminated, the winner will collect the respective token and can then draw an envelope to determine their bounty prize.
Day 1 of the €10,200 Mystery Bounty is scheduled to kick off at 8pm local time and eight levels of 30 minutes each are foreseen on the first of two tournament days. A maximum of two entries are allowed and the late registration is open until the end of level ten.
All participants receive 100,000 in chips and the first two levels feature blinds of 500-1,000 with a big blind ante of 1,000. Four sets of duplicate levels set the pace for Day 1 while the action then recommences the following day at 12.30 local time. Last minute additions to the field will enter the fray with 20 big blinds in level 11.
High Roller regulars are expected to duke it out on the tables and the PokerNews live reporting team will be there to provide all the action from start to finish.

Nakamura Barrels Againt Jorstad

Espen Jorstad opened to 3,000 in the hijack and then faced a three-bet to 7,000 by Tamon Nakamura on the button, which the Norwegian opted to call. Jorstad checked the 
flop and then called a bet worth 4,500 by Nakamura. He then checked the 
on the turn once more and Nakamura bet 18,000 in order to claim the pot right there.

The Day 1 field has now reached 22 entries and that means a third table has opened with the prospect of adding a fourth shortly. Among the recent additions were Andras Nemeth, Erik Seidel, Steve O'Dwyer, Paul Newey, Dietrich Fast, Jimmy Guerrero and Argentina's Ramiro Petrone.

Oya Takes Small Pot Off Kisacikoglu

Following an initial raise by Masashi Oya and the call by Orpen Kisacikoglu out of the blinds, the latter opted to check the 
flop. Oya continued for 3,000 to receive a call and Kisacikoglu then checked again the on the turn. A larger bet worth 11,000 by Oya followed and that did the trick to win the pot uncontested.

Jorstad Loses a Small Pot to Nemeth

While Andras Nemeth jokingly said he is "getting to old for this online stuff" and even the one live table would be tiresome, the Hungarian had a smile on the face as he waited for the seat assignment. It didn't take long for Nemeth to take part in the action as he was spotted in a heads-up hand against Espen Jorstad.
On a flop of 
, Nemeth check-raised from 1,500 to 5,000 and Jorstad sent his cards into the muck.

Quick Profit for Fast in First Level

Dietrich Fast and Tsugunari Toma were involved in a larger tussle as they created a pot of what appeared to be around 45,000 to the 
turn. Fast opted to check and Toma then bet 25,000 only for Fast to consider his options within the 30-second shot clock and then move all-in.
Toma didn't ask for an exact count as he sent the cards into the muck after a mere ten seconds.
