Thiess Plays at Least Trips

Niveau 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A flop of 668 was already on the table, along with a pot of 11,000 chips when Daniel Thiess made a bet of 7,500 from the small blind. Marin Prvan sat under the gun and made the call.

The 6 turn brought a third six on the table and Thiess continued his aggression with a bet of 13,000. This time, it was enough to let Prvan fold his hand, awarding the pot to Thiess.

Degen Catches a Bluff

Niveau 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 15,000 chips already in the pot, and a board that read 5KK8, Jonas Degen checked from early position to Jorge Postigo in the next seat over.

Postigo elected to bet 4,500 chips and Degen called after some thinking time.

The 7 river then fell and Degen checked once more. Postigo put his opponent all-in for 12,200 and Degen snap called.

Degen showed KQ for trip kings, and Postigo reluctantly showed his AJ for a bluff. Degen doubled up while Postigo was left with less than 15 big blinds.

Johansen Makes a Believer Out of Kury

Niveau 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Tomas Chrobak opened to 1,200 from the cutoff and was called by Marius Johansen in the small blind and Martin Kury in the big blind.

Action checked through on the A33 flop and Marius Johansen led out for 1,500 on the 3 turn. Kury called and Chrobak folded.

Johansen checked when the 8 completed the board and Kury bet 2,500. Johansen then check-raised all in — sending Kury deep into the tank.

"I believe you," Kury eventually said as he folded AxJx face up. Johansen collected the pot without showing.

Binek Wins Monster Pot With One Pair

Niveau 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The board was dealt up until the turn when the action was caught. It read 31056, and 30,000 chips had been gathered in the middle.

Robert Binek then fired a big bet of 30,000 from the hijack before Philippe Le Touche put in his entire stack of 43,000. A quick call followed from Binek, and the players showed down.

Philippe Le Touche: 88
Robert Binek: K10

The 5 river could not save Le Touche's pocket pair, and he was eliminated from the Eureka Main Event after both stacks were counted.

D'Alterio Breaches Six-Figure Mark

Niveau 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Luigi D'Alterio
Luigi D'Alterio

Luigi D'Alterio raised to 1,300 from under the gun before Jeremy Bischof jammed in 17,800 chips from early position. The rest of the table eventually folded, and D'Alterio made the call once the action folded back to him.

Jeremy Bischof: JJ
Luigi D'Alterio: AK

The K76 flop saw D'Alterio hit top pair, but Bischof obtained a flush draw. However, no club or jack came in on the 5A runout, and D'Alterio's two pair busted Bischof.

Kratochvil Shows the Goods

Niveau 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Vojtech Kratochvil opened to 1,200 from middle position and was called by David Docherty in the hijack.

Both players checked on the 358 flop and 3 turn; however, Kratochvil fired 2,900 into the middle after the K completed the board.

Docherty mused for a bit and eventually put in a single chip to denote a call. Kratochvil turned over AQ for the nut flush and Docherty mucked upon seeing it.

"Nice hand. Remember when everyone used to fold on four-flush boards?" Docherty joked as Kratochvil collected the pot.
