In a button versus big blind battle, Christian Masselkhi had check-called a bet of 80,000 from Radu Pitic on a 10♣K♦6♦ flop.
On the 2♥ turn Masselkhi again check-called a bet of 275,000 from Pitic.
The A♦ river completed the board and Pitic continued with the aggression, firing out a bet of 700,000, which forced a fold from Masselkhi.
Kirill Burtin opened 100,000 under the gun and Spiridon Apartoglou three-bet 220,000 from the cutoff. Burtin made the call.
The dealer fanned a flop of J♠9♥3♥, and Burtin check-raised the bet of 120,000 to 380,000. Apartoglou called.
When the 6♠ hit the turn, both players checked to see the 9♦ on the river. Burtin fired a bet of 325,000, and that was enough to drag the pot.
Alexandros Dranovitsas had moved all in for his final 675,000 and was called by Mengshi Tian, who had his opponent easily covered.
Alexandros Dranovitsas: Q♣Q♠
Mengshi Tian: 3♥3♠
Dranovitsas was in great shape with his pocket queens but hope soon turned to despair as the 3♣J♠4♣7♥8♠ runout gave Tian a set of threes, sending Dranovitsas to the rail.
Tian, the tournament chip leader going into Day 2, had taken a significant hit at the end of yesterday's play to arrive today as one of the smaller stacks, so he has done well to get back to the 50 big blind mark.
Catalin Moraru raised 100,000 in the hijack before Michel Karim three-bet 250,000 on the button.
The action quickly folded back around to Moraru as he put in a four-bet to 600,000. Karim tanked for some time, asking how much Moraru had behind. After a few more seconds, he decided to muck as he flashed the A♦. Moraru let him know it was a good fold as he showed [asahj].
Jan Krahulik and Candido Cappiello had both checked through the flop and turn on K♦4♥3♦2♦ with 425,000 in the middle.
The river was the 10♥ and Candido put out a bet of 150,000. Krahulik called and turned over 6♣6♦, which was good versus Candido#s A♦7♣.
The action folded to [Removed:446] in the small blind and he announced all-in, Ilias Papoulas was in the big blind and wasted no time making the call for his last 590,000.
Ilias Papoulas: A♦K♠
[Removed:446]: Q♦8♣
The K♣Q♣6♥ flop connected with both players, and Papoulas was able to hold as the 9♥ landed on the turn, followed by the 4♠ on the river.
Picking the action up on a flop of 10♣4♦3♠ with about 450,000 in the middle, Tomas Patka in the big blind and Andrei Toma on the button both checked.
On the 9♥ turn Patka lead out with a bet of 200,00 which was called by Toma.
The 8♠ river was checked by both players. Patka showed J♦8♣ for a pair of eights which prompted Toma to muck his hand.
