Martinez Bubbles, Lagan Doubles in Same Hand
Sam Greenwood kicked off the action with a raise to 60,000 as first to act. Paul Lagan then three-bet to 125,000 in the next seat before Albert Martinez called all-in for 50,000.
Greenwood called the three-bet to create a side pot for the K♠4♦2♠ flop. Greenwood checked, Lagan bet 65,000, and Greenwood called. Greenwood then checked again on the 5♥ turn, after which Lagan quickly shoved for 360,000.
Greenwood thought it over for a bit before calling it off, after which all three players tabled their cards.
Albert Martinez: 10♦10♣
Paul Lagan: K♦K♣
Sam Greenwood: K♥J♠
Both Martinez and Greenwood were already drawing dead against the top set of Lagan, and the inconsequential 10♠ river marked the official bursting of the bubble.
Martinez left the tournament in 14th place while the remaining 13 players continued playing, having secured at least €8,300 for their efforts.
