Davide Schianchi raised to 60,000 from the cutoff and Michael Wang shoved for roughly 600,000 from the button. After the blinds folded, Schianchi called to put Wang at risk.
Michael Wang: 7♠7♥
Davide Schianchi: A♠Q♥
The flop of A♥5♠J♥ put Schianchi firmly in the lead with a pair of aces. The A♣ turn and 5♣ river improved Schianchi to a full house and eliminated Wang from the tournament.
Natan Chauskin raised to 60,000 under the gun and was called by Berthold Winz, Jon Vallinas, and Cedric Schwaederle.
The action checked through on the K♥Q♦Q♠ flop for the A♠ to come on the turn. Schwaederle and Chauskin checked, but Winz fired out a bet of 85,000. This was enough to get folds from the other players and Winz won the pot.
With two players seeing a board of J♥K♣8♠9♥ and around 250,000 in the middle, Arnaud Enselme checked from the small blind and Bernat Carreras bet 130,000 from under the gun. Enseleme check-raised to 300,000 and Carreras made the call.
On the 3♠ turn Enselme shoved with a covering stack and Carreras, who had 440,000 behind, snap-called.
Enselme could only show J♣10♣ for second pair turned into a bluff while Carreras turned over top set with K♦K♠ to score a full double up.
Just a few hands after the break Thomas Eychenne opened from under the gun to 60,000. Hugues Girard three-bet to 150,000 from the hijack and Eychenne four-bet to 400,000. Girard five-bet jammed and Eychenne made a quick call.
Thomas Eychenne: Q♦Q♠
Hugues Girard: A♣Q♣
Eychenne was looking strong and needed to evade an ace but the A♦8♠K♣ flop went Girard's way.
Eychenne didn't recover on the 6♥ turn or 7♠ river, and was eliminated in 55th place.
