The A♠ came on the turn which saw Chimel check, and Schianchi bet 125,000. Chimel thought it over briefly before sliding his cards to the dealer, and Schianchi pulled in the pot.

Francesco La Scala opened to 60,000 from early position and Fernando Valverde three-bet shoved for 600,000 from the big blind. La Scala, who only had about 220,000 behind, went into the tank with a pay jump looming. Eventually Valverde called the clock and La Scala waited until just three seconds were remaining before sticking in the rest of his stack to put himself at risk.
