Women's Event at NAPT Las Vegas Will Feature $30,000 Guarantee

PokerStars listened to feedback from female poker players on how to draw women to the game, and now the poker site is responding.

The upcoming PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas festival will feature a $330 buy-in Women's Event on Nov. 5. Notably, the event has a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool attached.

Last year's NAPT Women's Event had a $360 price tag and drew 94 entrants for a prize pool of $28,200. That means PokerStars is expecting this year's event to be an even greater success.

The Women's Event will get underway at 12:30 p.m. local time on Nov. 5 and allows for unlimited reentry. The event will feature 30-minute levels and will see players starting with stacks of 30,000.

Imre Karpati raised to 2,500 from middle position. Panagiotis Mavritsakis, on the button, three-bet to 7,400 and Alexsandr Savchenko, in the big blind, cold called.

The action fell back on Karpati, who thought before four-bet jamming for 39,300, earning two frustrated folds. Karpati found a significant chip up without having to see a flop.
