It’s certainly been a successful start to the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Monte Carlo series, as evidence by a big field in the €1,100 France Poker Tour Main Event. Action continues today at Sporting Monte-Carlo with the opening flight of the €2,200 FPS High Roller.

This two-day event will see a pair of starting flights played today, with Day 1a kicking off at 11 a.m. local time. That will be followed by the turbo Day 1b tonight at 6 p.m. local time, where levels will be halved as players battle to reach the money and earn a spot in Day 2.

Last year in Monte Carlo, Yiannis Liperis took control of the final table and emerged victorious from a field of 1,234 entries. Liperis took home the largest share of the €2,369,280 prize pool, pocketing €406,670 for the win to along with the coveted PokerStars trophy.
