PokerStars Introduces Jason Koon, Caitlin Comeskey as Newest Ambassadors

PokerStars revealed two new brand ambassadors at Resorts World Las Vegas last month, both with impeccable reputations within the poker community — Caitlin Comeskey and Jason Koon.

The newest Team Pro members for the most prominent brand in online poker history come from different backgrounds and have different roles within the industry. Koon is a high-stakes legend, arguably the top tournament player in the world. Comeskey is a low-stakes player known for her comedic light-hearted poker player parody videos. She captured the Best Short-Form Content Creator award at the 2023 Global Poker Awards.

Fours Help Marques Sail to a Double-Up

Pedro Marques raised to 2,000,000 on the button with just 1,900,000 behind. Jaehyung Park shoved from the small blind for 8,425,000, and after Paul Runcan folded in the big blind, Marques called for the rest of his stack.

If Park could hit an ace or king, then the EPT Prague Main Event would enter heads-up play. However, the board ran out 3♦9♠3♠8♣10♥, which was clean for Marques' Sailboats. Marques doubled up and Park was now the clear short stack.

Runcan Extends His Lead

Pedro Marques made it 600,000 to go from the button and Paul Runcan defended from the big blind.

On the Q♦6♦5♣ flop, Runcan checked and Marques bet 425,000. Runcan flicked in the call.

A 7♦ landed on the turn and after Runcan tapped the table again, Marques bet 1,675,000. Runcan used a time bank before he slid in a raise of 4,000,000. Marques had just over 8,000,000 remaining in his stack, and after a short time, elected to call.

The 10♣ dropped on the river and Runcan debated for a while before he checked, and Marques quickly checked back.

Runcan tabled J♦4♦ for a flush, beating the A♣Q♠ of Marques.

Runcan now holds more than double the combined chip stacks of both Park and Marques!

Runcan led out for 300,000 on the 8♣J♥10♠ flop, which Marques called.

Runcan didn't slow down on the J♠ turn as he fired a second barrel of 650,000. Marques called again.

The two players checked the 10♦ river and Runcan showed 5♥4♦ which meant he was playing the board. Marques flipped over A♥7♠ for ace-high, and the pot was pushed to him.

The flop fell Q♥4♦9♠ and Park check-called a bet of 300,000 from Runcan. The 7♠ turn checked through for the 6♦ to land on the river. Park checked and faced an overbet of 4,000,000 from Runcan. Park folded, and surrendered the pot to Runcan.
