Heartbreaker on the River Ends Andre’s Main Event

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Sylwia Studniarz
Sylwia Studniarz

Sylwia Studniarz made it 35,000 to go from the small blind and Alexis Andre three-bet to 120,000 from the big blind. Studniarz took a moment before she shoved, and Andre snap-called for his stack of around 800,000.

Alexis Andre: QQ All in
Sylwia Studniarz: A10

Andre was in a great spot to double up, and his situation improved on the 84Q flop as he made top set. Studniarz seemed destined to lose a chunk of her stack, but the J on the turn opened up a world of outs for her as she picked up both straight & flush draws. A collective gasp was heard when the 9 hit the river as Studniarz improved to a straight, which ended Andre's run in the Main Event.

Can anybody stop Studniarz? She's on fire right now.

Hansen Slowly Chips Up

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Paul Runcan opened the action from early position with a raise to 30,000, which Lasse Hansen called on the button, and Pawel Wojciechowski called out of the big blind.

The three players saw the dealer fan out a flop of K58 and the action checked the Hansen. Hansen put out a bet of 40,000 and only Runcan called.

The Q turn and 6 river checked through and Hansen took down the pot with 99 for a pair of nines.

Oz Shoves on Kuznetsov

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Barak Oz
Barak Oz

Nikita Kuznetsov raised to 30,000 from the cutoff and Barak Oz called out of the small blind.

They went to a flop of 553, where Oz checked the action over to Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov put out a continuation-bet of 35,000 and Oz quickly called.

The turn came the 6, and Oz check-called another bet from Kuznetsov, this time for 120,000.

When the 4 fell on the river, Oz shoved for Kuznetsov's remaining 350,000. Kuznetsov thought over the decision for over two minutes before he decided to fold his cards and forfeit the pot to Oz.

Studniarz Leaves Joyce on the Sidelines

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Philip Joyce
Philip Joyce

Philip Joyce opened the button and Sylwia Studniarz three-bet to 100,000 from the small blind. After the big blind folded, Joyce shoved for around 300,000, and Studniarz quickly called.

Philip Joyce: 99 All in
Sylwia Studniarz: 1010

Joyce was already on his feet in preparation for his departure before the flop of 5K3 was even dealt. A 10 on the turn meant there was no way back for Joyce, as Studniarz improved to an unbeatable set. An inconsequential A on the river confirmed Joyce's exit, and Studniarz' stack climbed to 1,700,000.

Iaculli's Rapid Fall: From Big Pot to Bust in Two Hands

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Gianfranco Iaculli
Gianfranco Iaculli

Gianfranco Iaculli's tournament life unraveled in dramatic fashion, starting with a costly clash against Pascal Vos. With about 85,000 in the middle and the board showing 949K, Vos, sitting in the big blind, checked to Iaculli, who bet. Vos responded with a raise to 85,000, which Iaculli called.

The A landed on the river, and Vos moved all in for 280,000. Iaculli snap-called, revealing A7 for two pair, aces and nines. However, Vos turned over 52 for a surprising flush, leaving Iaculli with just 5,000 chips.

In the very next hand, Gal Bar opened to 30,000 from middle position. Iaculli, with no choice but to go all in for his last 5,000, tossed in his chip. Paul Runcan, sitting on the button, three-bet to 85,000, prompting Bar to fold and leaving Iaculli to face Runcan in a heads-up showdown.

Gianfranco Iaculli: 55All in
Paul Runcan: AK

Iaculli had a slight edge preflop, but the K77 flop all but sealed his fate as Runcan paired his king. The Q turn and 10 river confirmed the inevitable, sending Iaculli out in 52nd place after a rapid descent.

Pichierri Becomes First Player Out on Day 4

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Alessandro Pichierri
Alessandro Pichierri

Nikita Kuznetsov opened the hijack and Alessandro Pichierri shoved his very short stack of just a few big blinds into the middle. When it got back to Kuznetsov, he put in the extra.

Alessandro Pichierri: AQ All in
Nikita Kuznetsov: 98

Pichierri was in the lead, but fell deep into a hole on the 9K8 flop as Kuznetsov made two pair. A 3 on the turn sealed Pichierri's fate, and the meaningless 7 filled out the board.

Camosci Puts Eskes in the Blender

Niveau 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Enrico Camosci
Enrico Camosci

The action was picked up on the turn with the board showing 72A9 and around 350,000 chips in the pot. Enrico Camosci was first to act from the big blind and announced all in for 325,000. Tjenno Eskes was Camosic's only opponent in the hand and he went deep into the tank. Eskes started the hand from under the gun and burned through four of his time bank cards, before, ultimately, he reluctantly folded and the pot was sent to Camosci.
