Niveau 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Stanislaw Grodek
Stanislaw Grodek

Stanislaw Grodek moved all in for 540,000 from the cutoff, and the action folded to Tjenno Eskes in the small blind. Eskes asked for the exact count before moving all in as well, prompting the big blind to fold.

Stanislaw Grodek: 77 All in
Tjenno Eskes: 1010

Grodek needed a seven to stay alive, but the 1084 flop left him in tough position as Eskes improved to a set. The 8 on the turn sealed Grodek's fate with Eskes making a full house, and the 3 river confirmed Grodek's elimination in 24th place.

EPT Paris 2025 Canceled Amid Regulatory Challenges

Niveau 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
EPT Paris
EPT Paris

PokerStars and Club Barrière have announced the cancellation of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Paris 2025, which was originally scheduled to run from February 12-23 at Le Palais des Congrès.

The cancellation is part of a broader uncertainty surrounding Paris’s gaming landscape. Recent developments indicate that gaming clubs in the city, which have operated under strict regulations since 2019, are at risk of closure by the end of the year.

The announcement comes as a shock, particularly after the news comes exactly a month since the unveiling of the 2025 EPT schedule.

EPT Paris was slated to kick off the tour's new season, returning for its third year after record-breaking attendance in 2024.

Pascal Vos
Pascal Vos

Paul Runcan opened from under the gun to 60,000 and Pascal Vos shoved from the next seat for 275,000. When it got back to Runcan, he debated for a while, then called.

Pascal Vos: 99 All in
Paul Runcan: J10

Runcan was pleased to find himself in a flip, and even more pleased after he paired his ten on the 4A10 flop. Only a nine could save Vos, but neither the 5 turn or K river could save him, and he was out in 25th.

Lasse Hanse
Lasse Hanse

When it folded to Lasse Hansen in the small blind he shoved for roughly 200,000 with only Pawel Wojciechowski to get through in the big blind. Wojciechowski looked at his cards and called to put Hansen at risk.

Lasse Hansen: J8 All in
Pawel Wojciechowski: K2

Hansen needed some help from the dealer to stay alive. He got it on the J85 flop as he improved to two pair, but Wojciechowski had a flush draw. The K turn gave Wojciechowski even more outs, as the 7 peeled off on the river to give Wojciechowski the winner with a flush. Wojciechowski pulled in the pot and Hansen was out.

Umberto Ruggeri

Siegfried Kapeller opened the action with a raise to 60,000 from the button, and Umberto Ruggeri defended his big blind.

The flop came 10A2, and Ruggeri check-called Kapeller’s 40,000 continuation bet.

On the 9 turn, Kapeller ramped up the pressure with a bet of 210,000. Ruggeri, unfazed, made the call.

The 4 river saw Ruggeri check again, and Kapeller fired a final bet of 400,000. Ruggeri called without hesitation, prompting Kapeller to reveal AK for top pair. However, Ruggeri turned over J8 for a flopped flush, scooping the pot and leaving Kapeller visibly deflated.

Wojciechowski Spikes the River to Stay Alive

Niveau 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Pawel Wojciechowski
Pawel Wojciechowski

Pawel Wojciechowski shoved for 325,000 from under the gun and when the action got to Lasse Hansen in the big blind, he called.

Pawel Wojciechowski: K10 All in
Lasse Hansen: KJ

Wojciechowski was way behind and a big favorite to be eliminated. The flop of 3A2 didn't give much help, but the K brought around some chop possibilities. However, instead of a chop, Wojciechowski took it all on the 10 river as he made two pair, much to the dismay of Hansen.

Ken Oberlieben: 107 All in
